    Hi all,

Does anyone know anywhere you can buy Glucose (or equivelent - fructose etc) in bulk? I would be ideally looking for an online site in Ireland - Fitness Ireland don't seem to have it.

I want to buy it to mix with Protein & Creatine for a PWO shake. I've bought it before in a pharmacy and they generally only have small tubs of it. Sometimes they don't have it at all so they have to order it in which delays things.

Baking section of the super market. It's not always there, but it isn't uncommon.

Any decent-sized Tesco will have it. Comes in a yellow an orange package, about €1.50 for 500g I think.

Have never found it in Tesco (clare hall) but it is always available in Dunnes Stores, Donaghmeade. As was siad above, it is in the bakery section. The brand name si "Shamrock" and around €1.50 for 500g packet.

It can also be in the babyfood section, if in doubt as the info desk.

The cheapest I have seen it is in homebrew shops, usually about 1.90 per kilo, usually called brewing sugar, be careful as some are a mix of glucose & sucrose. Some will be dextrose which is fine.

Most homebrew shops will deliver online for €4-6, might be worth looking for discount codes too, many have them if buying over a certain amount, or free delivery if over a limit. Theres a homebrew forum here.

If you have a tesco clubcard you can register online and it knows your address and only shows stuff in the local store it would be delivered from. You can also easily search for current offers which is very useful. So at least you will know if it is in the shop, I ask the older female workers as they tend to know where everything is!

It was in the baby section in mine for years and has now moved to the baking section, near baking powder, not near the sugar where you would expect it. Smaller tescos probably do not have it.

All the bigger spars stock it, it's usually with all the bake a cake stuff.
I've found it in the big spar of the way to stillorgan, luckily my local shop stocks it. You could also ask your shop to get some in for you, local shops rock!
