    Hi,

Just purchased a natural yogurt (old mac Donnell's farm brand) bought it from super value. The yogurt is extremely bland and is actually turning my stomach a little, I bought some blue Berries to trow in on top but the really aren't doing anything to the taste :(

Anyone any ideas on what I should be adding to for flavor it or is it something to do with the brand I bought ?

    Many thanks

natural yogurt is lovely, but your tastebuds need to adjust if you're too used to sweet things

This is a legit question, why are you eating it?

It tastes kinda sour, some call it bland, I think it tastes a bit 'gone off'. Anyway, to make it more palatable there is a million and one things you can do with it. But if you're eating it with a few blueberries I would assume it's part of a calorie controlled diet.

Like I eat it with honey, mixed nuts and raisins and oats, and lots of other bits and pieces and it ends up being a very substantial meal.

Anyway, try a tea spoon of honey in it.

I drizzle some agave syrup over natural yogurt and it's lovely. But I agree, it can taste very sour to me.

But with some fresh fruit and agave, it's lovely!

Eating it cause it's high in protein and reasonable low in carbs. Really just cause im assuming it is healthy snack ?

Honey and raisins sounds good I'll give that a shot.

old mac Donnell's farm brand is an acquired taste I'd imagine because I do not enjoy it.

I really like the Dr Oetker natural yogurt

I agree with Ballyv24 - that brand really is an acquired taste. I don't like it - it tastes really sour and "off" to me. There are some milder brands you could try; just check there are no extra ingredients (ie. sugar!).

Raspberries are good - they squish into the yoghurt well. I like a blob of honey and some mixed seeds (pumpkin, sunflower, flax) with mine too.

I'm lucky that I love the taste of natural yoghurt, my other half doesn't though, so through in a bit of honey, or some strawberries, or use it in cooking with some chicken, chopped tomatoes and tikka masala paste, yum yum!!

I find the Aldi natural yougurt is lovely - it's called Liskeel I think and you can get a low fat organic probiotic one too which is even better for you :-)

I put it on pineapple and other fruits and then put a drizzle of honey and some cinammon on top - mmmm:D

I didn't like it when I first ate it either but you acquire a taste for it after a while:)

I agree with leahyl. I buy Aldi's natural yoghurt every week. I add strawberries and bananas which I eat as a quick snack everyday - 1 way of making sure I get some fruit into me and tastes good too :)

+1 for natural yoghurt and honey. I take that as a treat and it's lovely.
Whatever combination you go for give your tastebuds time to adjust and you'll be grand :)
