Hi. So Last year I was sick of being obese and started on lipotrim. My starting weight was around 19stone and I went to 15 stone 12. When I went back to college, I fell into old habits and now weigh 19st 4 pounds.

I am determined to lose it once and for all this time around and not by means of lipotrim or anything like it.

I am starting tomorrow (Monday 28th May 2012) and have decided that I am cutting out all sugar, bread, pasta and potatoes. Is this ok? as I have done little or no exercise since last summer I am going to walk twice a day at a fast pace for about an hour each and gradually build. What do you think?

    Thanks!

In terms of exercising, I assume that you are attempting to increase your metabolism rate while at the same time burning excess weight.

Beginning at 2-hours walk-per-day at a fast pace seems a bit too much too quick. I would recommend that you consider starting at 1-hour per day for the first week, then add 10 minutes to your total each week until you reach 2 hours per day.

Make sure to drink lots of fresh water each day while dieting and exercising.

For me, cutting out all sugar, bread, pasta and potatoes was more mental than anything else. For the first week or two I was lost since most of my meals would have bread, rice, pasta etc but just keep thinking of your goals and you'll stick with it.

After a few weeks you will definitely lose a bit of weight (provided you are also running a calorie deficit and exercising like you say you are) which will give you even more motivation to keep these foods out. The odd time, like recently at my cousin's Confirmation, I decided to have some bread and then a bit of rice with my dinner. This left me feeling bloated and stodgy and I finally realised that since cutting out these simple carbs, I feel so much better. Stick with it, it's a great way to go. You will lose weight and more importantly, feel better and be healthier.

You are not the first person I've heard have this experience with Lipotrim - you are not alone. Well done on making the decision to correct your weight issues in a more healthy and constructive way.

Some simple changes at the start - more veg with every meal. You're right to limit the starchy carbs also. Beware of fruit - it's great but high in sugars so eating a bucketload of it will pack a calorie punch.

Eat foods that are ingredients, not foods that have ingredients. I live by this (90% of the time :) )

Daily exercise is a must to lose weight. Always try to push yourself a little beyond the comfort zone. Exercise can't make up for eating too many calories on a daily basis so keep a tight eye on the diet and portion sizes.

    Good luck :)
