So I just started on the Dukan Diet today and was wondering if anyone else out there had tried it. I've never really been n a diet before, tried eating more healthy but that was about it and it shows, I want to get my weight under control I know that if I don't I will be heading for some serious health problems a few years down the line.

So far it's fine, yes it's boring and I really miss snacking and sugar but I think I will be able to stick to it cause I don't have to go hungry. Also I find the plan really easy to follow, because there is so little that you can actually eat. Had Turkey Fillets for the first time today, seriously nice with some mixed herbs and a little Dijon Mustard, hopefully now the weight will start to come off.

Hi, I'm on Dukan diet since Monday. Read his book and the diet seems to be pretty good for me!

Are you still on it? How much have you lost so far?

You bet! It feels great to see the scales actually working in your favor! My closest friend has signed up for Dukan Diet weight loss coaching and he is doing great! Started the diet a few weeks ago and has already lost 8 lbs. He loves gorging on almost all Dukan treats. After seeing him slim down, I am thinking of starting it too. I don’t have too much to lose (maybe just about 20 lbs) and I like their 4 phased personalized plan for each dieter.I agree with you, it’s better to start early and avoid the problem later on. Good luck to you and wish me the same!

i did the dukan and IMO its great for a quick fix, if you have something coming up soon just do a few PP days and lose a few pounds but in the long run its not hugely recommended, like atkins the second you eat a carb it comes back on. i know you slowly reintroduce carbs but your body isn't used to them....that was just my experience though

My plan is to lose 24kg or about 3 stone. Started just under a month ago and have lost 9kg or 20lbs!!!!

I want to lose the weight and THEN start a healthier diet. This DUKAN is a fix as he says himself. re inducing the foods back gradually

Im a real meat eater anyway so its going ok. Should have lost more but to be honest ive had good weekends out for family dinners etc and eaten the max and gone back to diet straight away. Was caloring counting before this and lost the same weight over 6months! its slow.

Least Dukan is fast and then u can be healthy

Keep up the work anyway. Losing the weight aint easy.

I am 9kg down and running for the first time

Wow, this is amazing achievement! I'm thinking of going back to Dukan again, as for the last month been more or so counting calories my self. Getting pretty tired of it. For the duration of summer lost about 8kg, but having a lot of days off lately...

Can I ask, how often do you eat per day and how large are the portions?

    Typical day

BREAKFAST boiled egg or scrambled egg, 3 slices salmon, galette (i bake mine) and tea

Lunch at 1 or 2. packet of 5 slices chicken and 5 roast beef maybe pack of prawns also! I eat like a pig on it! Dukan says eat all U want of the allowed food types

Dinner at 6 or 7 Steak etc, roast chicken etc maybe saled, usually put salad leaves with all meals!! Just to beat boredom, Maybe a gallete

Tea at 9 or 10 Cuppa with a gallette,

Sorry forgot to mention i bake ot and divide into sections and spread that thru the day in 2 or 3 portioons or 4 even.

Hope this helps. I have seen results from a guy I know. lost 2 stone in few months. If I can lose 3kg this week I will have lost 2 stone in a month!!! trying not to be disappointed when i dont! but close as possible!!!

I started at 119.4kg now am 110.5 kg. Target is around 95kg or 15 stone. I weighed 122 kg 2 years ago and lost a bit thru calorie counting. My plan now is to blitz the Dukan, get to 95 or 90 and calorie count from there!!

If u like me u prob lost a few pounds one week n then stayed same the next. First week of Dukan I lost 6kg alone. ahve had good n bad weeks since thru weeknd of drinkk n food but sure thats life too!

Whats ur story? Hoping this gives u encouragement

This is very encouraging indeed! Can I ask what system are you using? 1/1, 3/3 or 5/5?

This time last year I was about 56kg and this year it went up all the way to 70. Now trying to get control of things and get back to at least 60. Nearly there, but unfortunately have a constant overeating problem... Hopefully with Dukan it will be less damaging!

Do you exercise much with it? I heard that people tend to have less energy during this diet, but drinking vitamins help.
