Does hot weather effect eggs??

Does anyone know if this hot weather effects eggs. We collect the eggs every day but there is one hen sitting on the eggs and it could be 2/3 days before they get collected. (she usually moves box and then we collect) It would never be more than 3 days though. I gave my parents 6 eggs the other day and they tell me 4 of them were bad!!! As in they split and ran everywhere when cracked open. They are definitely not more than a week old allowing for them sitting here in our kitchen for few days. We sell a few eggs locally and now we don't know what to do as obviously we don't want to sell bad eggs.

Your hen shouldn't be sitting on them unless she's going broody. One of ours takes about an hour when she goes in to lay...but none of them will sit there for a few days.
Is it the same hen that's always sitting on them? If so, make a broody coop for her to get her out of the broodiness.

As for the eggs going bad, I'd imagine sitting under the hen for 2-3 days would cause that.
