Vitamin supplements

    Hi,

I'd appreciate advice on which vitamin supplements I should be taking, if any.

I am 27, female. I'm fairly inactive (I walk at the very least 30 mins a day, but do no "real" exercise), and I work long hours, but sitting down at a computer most of the time. I'm 5ft 5, and maybe 2 stone overweight.

I suffer from psoriasis, but have no other health issues that I know of.

My typical daily diet would be as follows:
Breakfast - Greek yoghurt with blueberries/pear and flaxseed. Or scrambled egg with veg.
Lunch - A large salad, with chicken/tuna and cheese.
Dinner - Either chicken/beef (generous portion), with plenty of assorted veg.
Snacks - Cottage cheese, eggs, soup, fruit, veg. I don't tend to snack much, though. I do eat absolute junky crap sometimes, but try to avoid it.

I currently take one Centrum Advance multivitamin a day, along with 20 milligrams of Sunvite Vitamin D3, and 525 mg of Milk Thistle. I was recommended the Vitamin D3 and the Milk Thistle by a staff member in Holland & Barrett, for my psoriasis.

Are there other vitamins I should be taking for the psoriasis? Also, in a recent AH thread, it was suggested that taking supplements is a bad thing ... are there any dangers associated with taking those that I've mentioned above?

I'd also be open to recommendations for any foods I should be eating, if there are deficiencies in my diet. I am avoiding gluten and nightshades, and really don't like fish (apart from tuna) although I guess I probably should be eating more ...

i did have psoriasis/eczema before, like you didnt eat much fish just tuna

then i started to eat salmon 2-3 times a week and also take a high quality fish oil daily and it cleared up,after about 2-3 months

here's a good link on fish oil the key is the ratio of EPA to DHA,fish oils in health food stores usually dont have a great ratio

    few links for
    oil 1
    oil 2
    oil 3

i dont know too much about the supplements, only that Vitamin D is in salmon, fish oil is the only supplement i take
