It's unfortunately a really bad version of SMB2. It was for the longest while my only experience of that game and it made me hate it until I played the NES original and now love it.

You know, you're just a fount of sunshine aren't you?

Got the saboteur on the 360 the other day. Not a bad game if you can ignore the ropey oirish accent.

    Master of the Universe

Finally gave in and bought New Super Mario Bros 2 for the 3DS. (the price had seriously been putting me off)

So far I've only played the first two worlds, and it just seems exactly the same as the previous DS version, and just as easy. On almost 70 lives already without dying - which is ridiculous.

The whole collecting 1,000,000 is a novel idea. But then results in the abudance of extra lives problem.

I'm hoping later levels seriously ramp up the difficulty.

    This isn't the philosophy forum!
There is no objective truth, only subjective opinion.
Well, aside from Pitfighter, LoD, SoR and Rise of the Robots suck donkey balls.

Anyways, my purchase is more about collecting the set of Super Mario Advance titles, I was never a fan of SMB 2.

Must get Super Princess Peach though....

Every time I think I have everything I need I login here and end up getting something else!

    Buggerit!

Oh and I got these recently.

    9B162BD5-A443-4098-87E0-505C777CE204-4826-00000C4C6605B06F.jpg

Actually didn't have Super Mario World and considering the whole reason I got into collecting games was to get a full set of Mario games, it was strange.
Also shows how little control I have over my collection and it's gone so far past collection creep that it's now a full blown collection explosion.

Mario box is in top condition and Rock n Roll isn't too far behind, so very happy there.

Ah Dragon Quest IX, it's a little too easy but stillreally good fun... until you start getting treasure makes near the end of the game when it becomes horribly addictive. I just wish I had someone else to trade maps with. I'm currently at a level where I can handle low level maps and was up until 3 am last night doing them!

It's me first Dragon Quest and was only €10, so can't go wrong really.

I can only deduce, that 'myster GET!' lovers, want people to say "So what is it?" because they love four pages of Red Dwarf quotes from the episode White Hole. Happy days so, every mystery GET! post shall henceforth be replied to with:

I have a spare RGB cable for Mega Drive. First one to post has first dibs on it if they can pick it up in person. :-)

I picked up Sonic Generations for the 360 today in Tesco of all places, only €15, well I wasn't going to spend anymore on it.
Not bad for a store that still sells Tekken 5 for the PS2 for €50!

Anyone played Great Giana Sisters on DS? I've been looking for it for ages and got it when it finally turned up on ebay for a decent price. Also bought Super Robot Taisen OG Saga which means the really rare stuff for the DS on my wishlist is all bought. Also got Izuna and Izuna 2 Legend of the Unemployed Ninja, can't pass up a rogue like with a premise like that!

Also noticed another worrying development. I've managed to pick up all the rarest N64 games as NTSC.... Maybe it might be feasible to get the rest of my collection as NTSC and off load the PAL stuff.

Sonic Generations was a fantastic game.

Had a look at a video of Giana Sisters there and it looks great, good price too, how much did yours cost?
I just paid 17 for it.
I had promised myself a new DS game, I was going to get Super Princess Peach but this'll do!

I want Trackmania and Trackmania Turbo as well, but they are quite expensive in GS.

  • Moderators, Category Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 53,290 CMod ✭✭✭✭Retr0gamer

Cost me about the same as well. Seems to come highly recommended. I had a tough time finding Super Princess Peach for a decent price and ended up just buying it.

I saw it for similar money here and there.
I passed up Alice in Wonderland for the DS for less than 20 in a bricks and mortar shop today, I may have to go back, I think that'll be a keeper.

Recent purchases, all modern again! Now you may have noticed I bought Rock Band a while ago. "WHY WOULD YOU BUY IT AGAIN YOU CRAZY MAN!" you scream at me. Well, it didn't work so I returned it and picked up another copy. However, they put the Rock Band 2 disc in the box instead which was a tenner more expensive so it was a win-win situation! I'll just pick up a cheap copy of RB1 online somewhere.
