Is it a legit copy, repro or one of those flashcard carts?

No it's legit, have it for ages. I guess in my excitement I didn't signpost what I was getting clearly enough.
I'm getting a US Nintendo. Only have the one game for it, Earthbound, and I'm worried it won't live up to my expectations now.

I shall be playing Earthbound on official Nintendo 90's hardware, hardware that has a different design to the European and Japanese Snes, with washed out smarties buttons and it's coming all the way from the land that got in Colombus' way when he was looking for fancy spices.
How slow is post from the states?

Around a week for me usually

Awesome stuff, fair play. As for the game, I often wonder if they day my first child's born is gonna have anywhere near the impact of my first playthrough of Earthbound. No pressure, like.

Ahhhh! The seller just got back to me with a postage quite of $200! That seems a bit high

Another US seller quoted me $40 for shipping. So I asked the other and he said yes he does post to Ireland, so did the buy it now on the system. Should of waited I suppose but it was in great nick and cheap, in the context of us Snes prices.

So which one did you buy, the $40 shipping or the $200 shipping?

Frak, $200 shipping, that stinks of the seller padding the auction price out.
What's the seller doing, getting it's seat on an Aer Lingus flight?
I can see you now, standing at the arrivals gate, with a piece of card in your hands with the words "Super Nintendo" on it in marker!

Cheaper shipping was on an auction that was creeping over 100 euro. The mad $200 shipping was on a decently priced buy it now. I was expecting that there would be a hitch up in the shipping by the bin price one but that was taking the biscuit.
I mailed the seller and explained that I've never got a quote anywhere near that before for a snes from the states, all nicely worded, and to see if he is sure that he is correct with his estimate.

Well, the seller got back to me and he agrees that it seems to be a bit whack, he was using the online calculator. Going to try a store later today and get the cost. Fingers crossed guys

The shipping on this one is reasonable

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Super-Nintendo-SNES-System-Console-with-2-Controllers-/370636308218?pt=Video_Games&hash=item564ba53efa

Price for the console itself is abit high, but it comes with 2 controllers, power adapter etc

Edit: Might pick one up myself, 65e delivered from the states with all hookups doesnt seem like a bad deal at all! Bought stuff off them before, very reliable company

That is the loosest definition of "worldwide" I've ever seen. If you do buy off him, don't let him look at a map, and realize Ireland's vicinity to the UK.

Surely he selected the UK by mistake there. Looking at what else he listed, it seems to be all third world, war ridden or scam central locations

Aye, just thought it was funny he randomly threw UK and Singapore in there.

Yeah the ps1. Brand new, one sold on adverts there recently for well over a hundred and there's one on eBay for over €300.

Eh, the lad they came from still has some for 35 euro as we were discussing earlier. They're not worth that much.

Just because there's one on ebay for €300 does not mean it is worth that. I could put one of my toenails on ebay for that! :D

only 2 left after I got 2 on Monday, so might be all gone now
apparently he had 75 to start with, fair play to him for not jacking up the price when he saw the demand.

Got these in gamestop a few days back, I'd picked up the motion system the golf game uses a few days ago , except the disk was missing, when I went to buy this one ..guess what ...no feckin disk either!
The mini club , case , and instructions where there though.
.So the nice bloke gave me the lot for free
(I can cough..aquire the disk itself other ways)
Samurai Aces is nice as I don't have enough 2D shooters in the ps2 collection..

Samurai Aces is a stone cold classic, Sengoku Ace and a bargain at .99c!
    Well done!

In work this morning and what should be awaiting me but the jolly sight of Super Bomberman 3 and the Mario Allstars+World carts!
What a marvellous start to the day!

Now to wait for my Turbo Everdrive!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,619 ✭✭✭✭OwaynOTT

The search continues. $196.10 was the revised quote, what a lunatic.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,328 ✭✭✭Pyongyang

Nice one gents. Samurai Aces is great and a bargain at that price. Super Bomberman 3 PAL is a touch on the rarer side is it not? It was certainly the last PAL release as Super Bomberman 4 and Super Bomberman 5 were NTSC-J only and command some steep prices, especially Super Bomberman 5.

You need to get Bomberman B Daman next! :)

Pyong , when are you going to show off the totally awesome stuff you have bought in Japan like Batrider and Mars Matrix in the Shmups porn thread ???
I think you spoke about a Mazinger Z PCB also somewhere , never seen one so I want to see that stuff :D

I myself am awaiting what is considered by a lot of fans as the first real Bullet Hell shmup on PCB :P

It's coming, it's going on my blog first. I'm also working on some other related projects, which will be revealed in good time... One of which is a genuine World Exclusive, actually, all of them might be... ;)

If you want to just see pickups videos though, click the YouTube link below for all 7 parts of the pickups. Includes stuff I didn't post on this forum. :)
