Mine is slightly crushed too, I guess just from being in a stockroom for years.

    A crushed box...

You know, sometimes I miss the old Atavan, before he got infracted :(

I don't mind cases, as I'd wreck a phone from dropping it. must have a matte screen protector on it though, can't do without my matte.
I've never paid for a case for any of my phones or for any of my phones in the last few years. The benefit of working in the industry. Pity that the negatives far outweigh that benefit though.

Yeah I always use a case as my phone would have been long smashed without it. Kinda essential really on an iphone really due it being all glass. Don't use a screen protector though as they annoy me.

Almost forgot I picked this up recently.

Would a back case cover protect a screen from smashing? You know the ones that come a few mm above the screen but don't actually cover the screen?

I hate cases too but if it stopped the screen from smashing it would be worth it.

There's no way I'd use a flipcase though!

I tried the smart flip case for the S4 but it just got grubby thanks to its fabric finish.
Since I switched the phone to a Cyanogenmod rom I don't get benefits from the covers so I haven't reinvested.
I don't like cases in general but have yet to smash a screen so I must be doing something right!
A friend just spent 160 replacing a screen so maybe it's worth it!

The fruits of my 'gaming' labour on this St. Patrick's Day (was the eldest's birthday). I never get tired of Lego, what a brilliant invention. :D Also played some Lego Marvel Super Heroes, can't go wrong for a fiver on PC.

Kirby Canvas Curse/Power Paintbrush for the DS incoming, it's a nice little game and part of my plan to have the Kirby series collected.
Some of the games are expensive however, particularly the GBA titles.

Just picked up Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland for the GBA, only $10 from Japan, which is pretty good.
Kirby and the Amazing Mirror seems a little more pricey but I'll get it in time.
Then it's really just Dreamland 2 on the GB and then Squeak Squad and Mass Attack for the DS and that's that. I've no interest in the pinball/puzzle titles they released.

You should be interested in the pinball titles, they are superb stuff altogether. Made by the Revenge of the Gator team.

The great thing about the series is tar they are ripe for importing, and then they're a lot cheaper.
Pity the 3ds is region locked then or I'd already have the new Kirby title bought.

Yes it should help massively. Unless it gets dropped on a spike or some such. But then having a matte screen protector should add a second line of defence. The two in tandem should offer the protector akin to the skin of xenomorph

I think it was Ciderman who recommended Beat the Beat in Argos.
thank you :D Best €7 I've spent in ages. Not retro but it got a good 4+ hours of laughs with friends earlier. Very WarioWare and crazy as a box of badgers.

Thank Atavan, it was his copy of the game I played many moons ago, it is brilliant and was still priced at around €40 before Christmas.
It's the sequel to the Rhythm Paradise game on the DS, also available for peanuts and a Japan only GBA game, which can be quite expensive, but I will pick it up at some point.

Oh, and just ordered the Megaman Collection for the PS2, it was never released here and contains the first 8 Megaman games as well as 2 Arcade titles.
It'll do until I get the Famicom originals!

I've never seen one before - no one has - but I'm guessing it's a white hole.

Every action has an equal but opposite reaction. A black hole sucks time and matter out of the Universe; a white hole returns it.

    Correct. And right!

Shipped Monday from Japan and arrived Thursday.
I also got a hefty €47 bill from customs (not shown)

Reminds me of the unwelcome visit up the jacksy I got from the customsman when my Namco Museum Boxset arrived, over a week sitting in their offices while they tried to figure out what it was and how much to charge.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,924 ✭✭✭TechnoFreek

The most sickening bit about the customs charge is that it is calculated on the total price of goods and shipping. Cheeky that money is made on the shipping.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,729 ✭✭✭The Last Bandit

Cheeky that money is made on the shipping.

    That's to cover the item = $1, shipping = $999 scenarios.

I guess shipping is a service so applicable to VAT as well.. Sucks though..

I've only ever been stung by customs once and it was on games I ordered from playasia. I didn't get the games for 2 months whatever the **** customs were doing with them.
