So all textbooks seem to say that for predicting bond types, a electronegativity difference of .4 is the cut off for non polar/ pure covalent. But my chem teacher said we have a new version of the electronegativity table in the log tables and that now we take .5 as the cut off for pure covalent? Just wanted some…
