i have recently started a low carb high protein high fat diet and my cravings for snacks or anything sweet has completely vanished i also am not eating any fruits because i heard they contain lots of sugars so is it the lack of carbs or no sugar or fruit or what ? still new to this and trying to get my head around it

Sugars are carbohydrates. Your body is just getting used to operating at a lower blood sugar level than it would've been subjected to before you started the diet and so it's not telling you to keep up the intake anymore. It's turning to lipolysis for energy in place of glycolysis.

thanks duffman so cut out carbs = cut out cravings well lower carbs anyway so does a higher protein level have any bearing on it at all ?

I would imagine the only effect of extra protein would be increased satiety and so maybe less urges to eat.
