    Hi,

I am a student of Dublin Institute of technology (DIT) doing a thesis on Nutritional Status on women between the ages of 20 and 40 in the Dublin region. I need help from any women in this forum, to fill up a 7 day food diary, which will be used for my research. If you are interested, please reply or email me and I will send you my contact details.

You can download the food diary document from this link, http://tinyurl.com/c5x6lnj and the consent form link is http://tinyurl.com/7otbxsj. The document includes detailed instructions for recording your food diary. The option to download this document should be at the top left of the webpage, when you open the above link. Once you download the food diary from googledocs it will be in a neater format in word. This document can be edited using Microsoft Word. But, if you require this document in some other format, please send me an email indicating the format you need it in.
You can fill out the food diary in word and email it back to me or you can choose to print it out and post it to me.

I will be very grateful even if you could refer me to any further contacts you think would be able to help with this research

    Thank you in advance,

    Joelle

    Hi,
I'll fill one in if you'd like. Just curious...how many people are you hoping to get to fill in the food diaries? And what kind of findings do you think you may find? Also...why specifically Dublin?

HI thank you first of all. Hoping to get around fifty people and its for Dublin because the results won't be very accurate if its from counties all around Ireland, so I'm focusing on a particular sub group and region for that reason. I also want to find areas of nutrition where this group of women are lacking and areas where they are consuming sufficient amounts. I will then highlight these findings in the results and develop conclusions from such results.

I don't wish to rag on your idea but do you feel you might get a slightly skewed sample if your getting your volunteers from a fitness forum?

Yeah I was thinking the same, I'd say the folks here eat a better, cleaner diet than the "norm".

Thanks for your feedback, although samples received from this thread won't affect my results, it is simply an observational study on a convenience sample, any food diaries completed would be a great help towards my research.
