    hey ,
just came across this forum and just a quick question to anyone that knows what theyre talking about .. training reasonably hard the last few weeks , the last 3 weeks have mostly been twice a day (starting to step it up) for 5 days and then maybe a swim circuit on the sat and rest on the sun .. problem is this week i went in to the gym wed did my warm up and just goes "na fcuk it" and left i just felt mentally knackered from training , my body was ok but my mind was just screaming no ... the same happened today , and it was disheartening to say the least .. my fitness is good and im not a quitter so what gives ? is this normal when people are pushing themselves ? .. also i have a sweet tooth , and after a hard session ot two in a day im not bothered about hitting the chocolate with a mug of tea (keeps me happy lol) , same on the wknd when my training is done for the week i hit the chipper (like a treat for good work and energy to burn the next week) ... thoughts or advice much appreciated .. due to have to go up another gear from mon ...

    hope that made sense

You're feeling this way because your body is trying to tell you something - as in, rest, chill for a bit and give your body a break.

You're not a quitter if you dial it down - just sensible. It is counter-productive if you are burning yourself out mate!
