    Well I had to pay little over 120 for my current setup

    I'm sure theres other cheaper alternatives

    Not for HDMI- HDMI.

    Let me know if this is going too fast- but your options are either to get a black magic shuttle (which you need a USB3 beast of a lappy to run) or to get a hdmi splitter and hdmi- component converter and a hauppage hd pvr device, which runs fine on a slow enough lappy.

    I think they're the two cheapest options.
