1/4" --> XLR input only?

Hi folks,

I'm looking to move from a guitar/stompbox/amp rig to a guitar/modeller/monitor setup and have my eye on a Mackie Thump th-12a for use as a monitor.

From what I can see, the only issue is that the only input on the Thump seems to be for an XLR cable. So, assuming that my modeller only has 1/4" outputs, how do I connect to the Thump? Is this even possible without going via a desk?

Apologies if this is a no-brainer...I'm new to the whole active monitor end of things...

Yeah shop around online like places like gear4music, Dolphin, Gak.com. that was the 1st one came up. handy things to have. just make sure you order the right fitting, as in female or male connection.

Alternatively, check out your local music shop, be surprised if they didn't have any. althou probably a bit more exspensive than online.and get a short cable if you have no need for metres and metres of cable under your feet.

My Behringer V-amp rackmount has 3 XLR outs.....

though my Pod XTLive floorboard hasn't any.

though the XT pro rack unit has........

I bought one of these and it arrived today. Took less than a week from China. Half the price of anywhere else. It will do the exact job you want.
