One 12 minute per week workout for general fitness!?

Will be starting to workout soon, middle aged and sedentary and looking for a suitable workout for general strength and fitness.

Have been reading and watching very interesting things/videos about slow excercising.

Can't find any threads about super slow resistance training for strength and fitness. ie. lifting weights or using bodyweight very slow up and down. 10 seconds up/10 seconds down.

Maybe it's called something else here on boards?

Have read Fred Hahn's Slow Burn Fitness Revolution, you can see some of his videos on YouTube, and there's another character named Dr Doug McGuff, also on YouTube, who has a book named Body by Science which outlines a similar 'protocol' with the subtitle of a 12 minute per week routine which he says is not marketing hype but a necessity due to the intensity.

He reckons that once you reach absolute fatigue for a given exercise, the stimulation to gain is triggered so doing another set is a waste of time. So just one very high intensity rep each for a small number of exercises.

Is anybody doing this type of workout and what are your views?

Here's a video by Dr McGuff.

Gimmicky bullshìt and no one who lifts significant weight or gained significant mass did it with 12 minutes of exercise per week.

Sure I'll give it a go and see how I get on. The goal is to get stronger/fitter, not to be like Arnie.

Give it a go it may work for you and it may not. Only one way to find out. You'll know yourself soon enough how much your getting from it.
