I don't think so. It's not him telling her to get a boob job.

It's a bit silly (his girlfriend getting a boob job is the "best time of his life"?) but it's not sexist. She's the one who wants one.

I think its funny, not really very clever or thought provoking either way, just a simple ad that made me smile for a second!

Yeah I found it funny too!

Car ads are always so bizarre.

    I think that's really funny!

She is not a real person.
The point of the ad is to make that pansy ass car looks like something a (spotty teenage) man would buy.
By associating it with jiggly boob diving.
It might not be sexism exactly but it objectification. I'm not offended by it, but I think it is a bit sad.

What the actual feck? I laughed out loud at the boob diving bit! :D:D

I think it's unfunny and tired.

There was a car? I must have blinked.

As a guy, after watching that ad I remember it was funny and that there was a nice shot of some boobs but I had to check the thread title to see what car it was advertising, not very effective so.

Hehe, just a silly ad that made me laugh. I don't think it's sexist really.

I lol'd big time at this ad. Tbh I think if anyone were to get offended it would be men, but I know they won't be offended.

I'm amazed at the amount of ridiculous "isn't this so sexist" threads that gets posted in tLL.

I think that ad is more disparaging to men than women. Possibly a theme with Fiat ads...

I didn't think much of that ad.
Then again, I thought the Old Spice ad "I'm on a horse" bit was funny as hell.
Feck all wrong with it though as far as I can see.

if I remember right it was lime green and looked like a blow up wendy house on wheels. Some cars can do sexy all by themselves and this wasn't one of them.

    What a stupid advert.
It no way relates to a buying a fiat. But i supose that's whats advertising is about these days

I don't find it sexist but I find it a bit tired that ads aimed at men are so often centered around sex. Its lazy imo. I wish advertisers would think outside the box a little bit.

Also don't Fiat realise that women also drive? :P As a female car owner I would like to see something a bit more unisex that is aimed at me and other women drivers.

That's actually a great ad, it was all done as one shot so is very innovative. They actually got the horse under him without it being noticeable and without cutting away. Pretty amazing. The Fiat ad is just boring and stupid.

God dammit, 10 years living with a film nerd has made me one too.

Nobody caught the big lewbowski parody then no? How unoriginal...

I didn't think much of the ad myself, but did think it was sexist. Not the worst case of sexism by any means, and I wasn't at all offended, but if we accept something like the following general definition from wikipedia:

Sexism, also known as gender discrimination or sex discrimination, is defined as prejudice or discrimination based on sex; or conditions or attitudes that foster stereotypes of social roles based on sex.

Then it becomes a little more difficult to argue that there aren't any traces of sexism in it.

The stereotype being fostered in this case being that guys would like their girlfriends to get boob jobs if their tits aren't sufficiently massive.

All in all, not an amazing ad, but the boob-diving was pretty cool. :)
