Was on boards a short time ago, it was very desync'd, constantly on yellow chain, so I exited as soon as the chain disappeared.

As to why DDos, I guess its because the game is getting so popular now its becoming more of a target.

Barbed wire is annoying but it's part of the game. Deal with it or go around it. Had to deal with some in a supermarket a while back which was annoying but toolboxes are pretty common so just accept they're a part of the game.

I would definitely advise a shoot to kill policy, especially when you're playing solo. It's become almost impossible to group up with others survivors since the Chat menu was thrown out the window; that is, unless you arrange some kind of Teamspeak prior to jumping online.

They're far too glitchy at the moment. I've been killed twice so far when I've tried to hop over the wire fences, and this problem is made even worse by the fact that they're absolutely everywhere. I also hear that a lot of people are suffering from Graphical glitches brought on by the barbed wire.

You might argue that toolboxes are pretty common, but you can't deny that they're no way near as common as the wire fencing kits themselves. Hell, I could walk into pretty much any Town or City and walk back out with some barbed wire - maybe even two kits.

I say get rid of it until it's working correctly, or at the very least it's put to a more practical use. Not for trolling or blocking off loot.

Are you on the Boards sever? If so, it's usually bright up until around 11pm on the server.

Server up? Had to reinstall ARMA after a windows reinstall so I didn't play all day. Don't see the server when I put Boards or IRE in the filter.

Yeah just found that out the hard way. Found a military barracks. Got an AK-47 and some medical supplies, then I saw a bunch of vehicles that looked alright from afar. Went over to have a look and they were all banjaxed, Then I Got attacked by a zombie from nowhere, then a load more. I killed a few zombies, ran out of ammo, jumped a fence, barbed wire, dead.

Also, earlier, a guy ran towards me shouting for help with some zombies chasing him. I hid and watched him get eaten (I had feck all ammo). Then I stole his stuff. Am I bad? :P

A lot of servers are set to an earlier time than the area they're in. If you filter for "utc-" you should find a few. Also there are US servers using similar descriptions with CST, EST etc, because they're awkward and their arithmetic skills can't handle subtracting numbers greater than 9.

Day 2, still can't see Boards server or able to play on others, after an age in the waiting for character to create screen I get to what looks like a live screen but cannot move, I can check map and scores etc but not move. :mad:

Might be an idea to have the server as a private server ? They're the only ones i've been able to get onto. Not sure how easy that would be to setup tho.

Restarted once due to a crash. Restarted a second time because nobody could see the server in the list and its invisible again.

Would like to add this is a long-time planned maintenance, just decided that this was a good opportunity to do it. The project is not at the end of destruction, Rocket is doing fine. 1.7.2 is not coming out today, it is coming soon enough however etcetc.
Just be a bit patient.
