Back the EPL for this game.

Chelsea will more then likely rest key players that will play in the UCL final so we could see a line up of :

    Hilario/Turnbull

    Ferreria
    Ivanovic
    JT
    Bertrand

    ----Romeu
    MeirelesEssien

    Ramires
    Malouda
    Sturridge

    Torres

Not to sure how Liverpool will line up or approach this game but given the fact its at Anfield and they will be hurting from the recent loss, they will go all out for this game.

    My prediction 1-1.

Edit : Meireles is out of the game, as is Mikel.

Given Liverpool are only 14 points off Relegation Positions. 3 points for Kenny just might keep him in the job leapfrogging fulham to 8th.

Hard to give much of a damn! Could be the "bye bye" home game for a few Liverpool players if so expect them to get at least some game time.

    What about King Kenny?

Do ye reckon it could be his final game as manager at Anfield?

Could be but John W Henry hasn't given any clues away (bar a face like thunder on Saturday) and he seems to strike without warning - Spanish Inquisition style.

I thought he was singed up for next year. Why though, is beyond me.

I could be miles off, but personally I felt if Dalglish had won the Cup double he would have been kept on, at the moment I cant see him keeping his job but I could be way off.

I wouldnt expect much news until after the Euro's though when you can evaluate the squad and where ya need to strengthen.

I'm hoping we can get all our business done this year early but apart from Marin, I cant see to much movement in the market from us at the moment.

    Come on Liverpool.

Of all the teams fighting for 4th we have the most unrealistic chance of finishing there after ye're win in London recently.

Its between Arsenal, Spurs and Newcastle for 3rd, 4th.

We wont sneak in beyond 2 teams att hsi stage.

I'm not sure, he might be, it was just a question to see if Liverpool fans could see Dalglish managing the team next year.

Its not like chairmen orclub boards to get the itch and sack people no matter how long there contract.

    Ala Chelsea :pac:

Fairly nonplussed about this game, going for 1-1.

Chelsea should really looking to win their last 2 games rather than sticking all their eggs in one basket.

Liverpool are shocking at home this season so fcuk knows how we'll play.

I agree, we should aim to beat Liverpool as a win at Anfield will leave us still in the fight with a very slim chance, we would then be relying on Spurs, Newcastle dropping points in their last games also to jump into 4th.

I just cant see that happening but that shouldnt mean that we dont go for the victory tonight.

Any 'Pool fan wanna take a stab at how they'll line up?

I pressume ye'd like to see Carroll start after his cameo had JT/Ivanovic in the horrors at the back at times.

    Maybe :

    Reina

    Johnson
    Agger----Skrtel
    Enrique

    Gerrard---Henderson

    Maxi
    Saurez
    Bellamy

    Carroll

The above might not be miles off.

    I would play:

    Doni

    Johnson
    Coates
    Agger
    Enrique

    Shelvey
    Henderson
    Gerrard

    Suarez
    Carroll
    Downing

Subs: Reina, Kelly, Robinson, Spearing, Sterling, Suso, Bellamy

No room for those on their way out. Downing starts by default because I'd rather Sterling as a sub

Must win for Chelsea, can see Carroll starting and out for revenge

Reckon Torres will start as well :eek:

Battle of the over priced strikers :eek::eek:

BTW, I hear Pool have a new logo on the shirt (Seeing is Believing!!!)

I like that team though, a thousand sighs, I'd prefer Downing or Sterling to Maxi given that the Argentinian is unlikely to be at the club next season.

Would Bellamy be ready for another match?

    EDIT:

    Reina

    Johnson
    Agger----Skrtel
    Enrique

    Gerrard---Henderson

    Kuyt
    Suarez
    Maxi

    Carroll

Could be a fair well game at Anfield.

I would have thought after Downings fairly poor showing on Saturday he wouldnt be in contention?

Good point on Bellamy. Kuyt may well start in palce of him.

He didnt have the impact on Saturday that i thought he would so I'm going to say he'll score tonight. :(

I'll be shocked if we don't see Carroll after his performance on Saturday, and I'm sure Kenny will want to build on his confidence ahead of next season.

Who knows? It's certainly far from certain either way. I seriously wouldn't rule out Rafa Benitez being there next season. I'd imagine he would want to come back, and the owners would look at his record of getting Liverpool into the CL year in year out and think 'that's what we want.' Obviously it would be largely a popular choice with the fans too.

The bookies are as good a place to look as any when trying to gauge these kinds of possibility, as I suppose they set the price without any fan bias coming into the play and try to look at the situation as objectively as possible, taking in all factors.

Paddypower have Dalglish to still be manager next season at 8/13

Dalglish not to be there at 6/5

So the bookies are thinking he'll probably be kept on although it's very far from a sure thing.

On to tonight - 2-1 Liverpool. We'll make up for the FA Cup final and will feel all the more frustrated for it

Kuyt and Maxi probably playing their last home games so i can see them starting. Not a chance Bellamy will start. As always hope Sterling is on the bench

I would have thought more likely you will see plenty of room for them so they can get a proper send off in our last home game of the season.

It's far more important to blood young players where possible. F*ck sentiment, they can wave goodbye at HT or something.

I had a look at hamburg FC fan page and the Kuyt discussion. Used google translate and the fans there are not happy about that signing at all. They are hoping it is a dead deal.

I still think we play better without him in midfield. When he is on form, he is stunning, but he is a lead weight to the team when off form.

I'll be mighty p*ssed off to see Aurelio, for example, tonight.

Not out of disrespect for Fabio, but he is the past, Jack Robinson is the future.

Yep, only thing i'd insist on is Carroll should play the full game after last Saturdays performance. More than happy to see the above lads tog out regardless of the result.

Won't be a goodbye for Carra of course though..
