Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Pre drinking- €10
    Taxis- €15
    Club-€10
    Drinks in club- €30
Making a fool of myself- priceless
So €65 in total, after turning into a lightweight:pac:

    Back in Ireland:
With pre-drinks, about €40. That'd be without taxi or food and includes a sneaky naggin for the club.
Without pre-drinks, probably the same as I wouldn't have planned so wouldn't have prepared myself to get as drunk, if that makes sense.

    In the Czech Republic:
Last time I had a mad night out, I think I spent about €40 and that included ten pints (maybe), smokes and some take home drinks for a session.

Take it into the club with ya, chics will love it.

Bit redundant bringing a "bike" to a club, don't you think?

    6 cans at home €8
    2 pints in pub €8
    Don't smoke
Don't pay to enter anywhere ever
    Don't buy women drinks
Battered Mars Bar after €1.80 :)
    No taxi, walk home

    €17.80 average night.
Where do you get a battered mars bar?

£50 sterling on a typical night out, no "pre-drinking", straight out to the pub.

Between me and my boyfriend we would spend about 50-60 euros if I am minding the cash. If I get too drunk to care and he gets his paws on the cards it can be anything from 100+, he gets verry generous when drunk which drives me mad as he would never accept a drink off anyone so it never evens out.

    Between about 50e and 120e I reckon.

All depends where I go, who I'm with etc. Some groups of friends we just go out to get smashed cheaply, others we buy expensive drink, have a meal etc.
Haven't been going out recently though and the money I have is great, paid monthly and I havent spent it all yet, sitting in is great*......

    *Im so alone =(

Not more than €50 anyway unless I buying rounds or something or have to get a taxi. If it just drinks be less than €50 may include entry to a club but usually go to a late bar instead. Of course the chips be extra dosh alright!

2 naggins of huzzar( have one at pre-drinks and one on the way up)€12.00
Packet of smokes €8.90 or so
    Last bus in €2.15
    Club free before 12
    Few vodka redbulls €10.00
Taxi home is usually shared so €5.00
    €38.05

which isn't bad for a student, and I only go out every few weeks or so

    Night out in local €30-40
    Big night out €100-€120

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,026 ✭✭✭homerun_homer

Up to €100 usually, easily that when in Dublin. I'm usually losing the savings/less rip off prices when local by wasting it on taxis.

    4 pack for pre-drinks e5
    0-2 pints in pub/club e0-e5

I rarely spend over a tenner, my local is free in. I drink a cheap 4 pack just before heading out and then bring a fiver to the place, try not to use it but if my buzz goes then I'll get a pint or two. At closing time it's a 10 minute walk to a mate's house, then head straight for bed. I can literally go to uni with e20 in my pocket and have enough for the night out and food the next day :D

Between 60 and 80 euros a night, depending on if I eat or not. Don't take taxi either. Do have a bad habit of giving the toilet boys too much money though.

On a proper night out whats the damage?

    10 pints e50
    packet of smokes e9.10
    nightclub door charge e10
couple drinks for random bird e10
    chipper e8
    taxi e15

    total e102.10

about 50 times a year excluding the few quieter nights out thats over e5,000.

not many people can afford that before they have to sacrafice for the mortgage or just get fed up of hungover Sunday yet there is no really viable alternative for people in the mid 20s to socialise at night.

Going out = walk to Lidl.
Spicy chicken wings from Lidl - €3.68
    2 * 2 liter cider from Lidl - €7.58
Sit beside open window in the light of flickering TV - €0.00
Quick stagger to loo - Lidl loo roll - 3 squares - €0.0000004
Not having to put up with - drunks, inflated prices, surly bar / door-staff, loud drunk girls, ghastly take-home take-away, avoiding green taxi-lights in the gloom - PRICELESS!

    8 Pack of heineken - €10
    Club entry - €12
    4 or 5 5 drinks inside the club - €30
    Chipper afterwards - €7
    Taxi home - €6

Total: €65 (Double the drinks order and club entrance if the missus is out with me)
