Look it happens to some of us, the important thing is that you don't go ah feck I messed up might as well keep going..

or lose motivation, I sometimes buy junk food but I will only buy one portion once a week or when I need it as I cannot have multipacks in the house yet. Only be annoyed at yourself if you don't get back on your feet and keep going/Id really try and get a good workout in tomorrow.

I find that because its all in your head for ME its better to have a small amount of what im craving than having too many alternatives to junk foods, I just need to get rid of that deprived feeling, saying that if I went a month without eating any junk food I wouldnt miss it.

I keep some hot chocolate sachets in the house in case im really craving chocolate. If I kept a bar in the house it would annoy me. You can try other sweet snacks but personally nothing else will do so I just eat normally and invest in some nice teas, I found getting used to enjoying tv/the cinema without food over time to help and getting rigid breakfast, mid morn snack, lunch, afternoon snack, and dinner slots so if I want chocolate it will have to fit into one of those snacks using portion control, I never buy anything over 400 calories so if I eat it one go without thinking about it not too much damage done, dont beat yourself up about it these things happen just try and space them out as its unrealistic that youre never going to be given a lot of chocolate or buy too much in the future but over time you will be able to be more mindful so you wont binge. You havent failed trust me it just takes a long time to change our habits.

    snacks that might help..
    apple/banana with peanut butter
dunnes chocolate moose, do not buy light version yuk
mini milk chocolate icecream bar 30 calories

    Hey there.
Dont be too annoyed at yourself. We all have our moments. And guilt will just make it easier to fall into binge sessions.
I know how you feel, trying to stay off sugar etc.

Im on a candida diet for a few years and only the last few months have gotten to a stage where i can resist sugar and sweet things.
Its f3kin hard going, especially with severe cravings at the start of going off sugar and carbs.

My only way so far is to eat natural yogurt between meals.I started with 1 pot of strawberry glenisk mixed in with 2 pots of natural(that ratio..not amount per session) and worked it up to just plain natural yogurt by itself.
When i eat natural yogurts i find its mainly the texture i enjoy rather han flavour and it does help replace sweets.
The onken natural set is the nicest to eat alone btw.

Also between meals i would eat eggs on biona bread.Although with my severe diet restriction i had to take out the biona. But for you its probably good.
Also i fill up on nuts between yogurt lol

I use zylitol sweetner with pau darco tea from a health food shop to replace caffeine and sugar i was using for regular tea.

I think really what it comes down to is comfort.
When i get a craving to smoke or eat sugar i use one of those.Or i go for a run till im wrecked and then eat one of those or a good dinner.
Or i read a book and distract myself.
The tea really has been helping though, for the comfort side of things.

But when going off sugar and refined carbs your going to have a day or three of cravings and maybe head fog too.
Just keep in mind why, as i found having a clear purpose or goal helped me remember that its not worth it every time i am in the kitchen and see that bag of sugar sitting open.
I have been feeling much better since my diet has been adhered to and when you get there it will be much easier to resist.

Just keep at it and dont sweat the small stuff like a relapse here or there.
Its going to happen now and then, as you need to remember food choice is a habit you learn.
I still relapse when i visit family or friends, because i am off my guard.
And once i get tucked into a pack of biscuits, its so easy just to keep going..then feel really sick! lol

Keep it up the good work ;)

    Edit
Sorry had some other thoughts a good while later.
I just realised the yogurt and nuts technique is working so well im too stuffed to eat any of the popcorn or chocolate that i have in the press for 2 or 3 days!
But on the subject of chocolate, i reckon if you only buy those bars that are 80%+ cocoa you wont want to be eating the whole lot anyway.Infact it might help you get off chocolate lol
It starts to hint of a nice taste until the bitterness kicksin and then its kinda yuck..but kinda nice..but kinda healthy..:)
    Worth a shot anyway.

Can only mirror what the others have said, it's so easy to feel bad and guilty about a binge. My advice to you is just to not let it lead to further binging, let the bad feelings be a lesson to you, and let it motivate you to do better, wake up the morning following a dietary mishap and start fresh with new focus. You'll undo the damage in no time if you stay strong, eat smart and keep training, this is only a slight delay to your goals.

Just do not keep them in the house. If I have chocolate in the house it will be eaten full stop. Buy a bunch of fruit and munch on that for an evening snack. Really hits the sweet-tooth spot and you'll never want too much of it.

You must replace a lot of your high calorie foods with fruit if you want to lose weight.
Fruit is low in calories and helps to fill you up.
Perhaps you could buy fruit in bulk such as a large bag of oranges or a crate of apples.

Don't allow junk food in the house, if its not there you won't eat it.

    Fruit, cut in pieces.
    Hummous, salsa dip
    Nuts (not salted)
    Raisins/dried fruit
    Carrot sticks
    Celery sticks

    Drink water to cut cravings.

I find the easiest way is to (a) not buy in bulk or (b) buy biscuits that I won't eat too many of.

If I buy a pack of chocolate kimberlies, all six are gone in 20 mins.

But, if I buy non choc biscuits and need something sweet, I'll only eat one or two less sweet biscuits.

    I won't go through a whole pack.

Or design a better dessert - I started toasting oats, adding some cinnamon and adding to stewed pears and topping off with some yoghurt. Just make enough for one helping - very tasty with little sugar .
