I'm really looking to this. Rovers need the three points to have a chance to stay up, a win for Wigan assures their Premier League safety for another year.

I'm hoping for a Wigan win as i'd like them to stay up.

    Looking forward to this myself.

Blackburn to win IMO but it's too little, too late for them unfortunately.

    Blackburn to win.

Think Wigan will win at weekend away so they'll be safe. If Blackburn win they will need to beat a depleted Chelsea side away and hope QPR are battered by City.

This fixture is traditionally littered with goals, 5-3, 4-3 and 3-3 in the last four seasons.

    I predict a 0-0 snorefest.

Wigan are playing really well recently so i cant see them losing this , a 3-2 Wigan win to seal Blackburns relegation.

Blackburn's owners not at the game. Considering the importance of the game that's shocking ownership.

So many parallels in Blackburns inevitable relegation and Newcastle's in 2009.

Wigan to win tonight given their recent form.

All that's missing is the lack of messiah to take them down ;)

I can't believe Modeste started, I hope he proves me wrong

Ridiculous from the Rovers fans. Must win game and all they're interested in is slaughtering Kean. Sure he might deserve it but there's a time and place for it.

An ingenious albeit somewhat cruel protest from the Rovers fans.

A reference to the Blackburn Rovers FC owners profession and Steve Keans tactics away to Spurs all in one go.

Two birds with one stone you could say.

A point should be enough for Wigan to secure safety, 3 points ahead and GD advantage. They need to secure it in this game while Blackburn are distracted and they are on form and than lose or wait for the last day again.

    It doesn't matter for Blackburn

    shocking miss imo by Moses

Yeah, i concur. He's had an extremely slow start to his Wigan career, but the last couple of months or so, he's looked very very good.

Don't understand all the people getting upset at the crowd, well actually I do,they are not Blackburn fans.

There is a time and place for it, and this is it, the last home game of the season, and what looks like the last Premiership game at Ewood Park for the foreseeable future given who is in charge of the club and the team.

Kean is way out of his depth, another example again tonight, starting Yakubu, Hoilett and Modeste together for the first time ever, apparently going all out for it (although you wouldn't think from watching the game).

It is way too little, way too late, Liverpool and Spurs were the games to have a go, especially the Liverpool game. He chickened out.

Tonight again, it looks like the team are going out with a whimper.

Don't blame the Rovers fans, tbh. Kean should never have been appointed in the first place, and he's taken little or no responsibility for the mistakes he and the team has made. They were effectively relegated yesterday, they need a mathematical miracle to stay up. What better time to protest?

And with the incompetent owners not even at the match, I really feel sorry for the Rovers fans for what has happened to the club

Ha the face on the wanthere, cursing Pederson in her mind.

Two wasted free kicks from Pedersen from great positions, shocking.

How would you feel as a Blackburn player having to listen to that abuse while you're trying to play?

The time and place for it is social media, the local press, outside the ground, fanzines, websites, radio etc etc. Support the team while you're at the game, it makes all the difference.

Newcastle went down in 2009 and every home game was the same as Blackburn this season. It helps no-one.
