Tightness on kneecap

I'm getting a tightness feeling around my kneecap when I squat. It does feel a little uncomfortable at times. Best way to describe it is like DOMS around the kneecap.

I'm going to take a week off from the weights and foam roll the shít out of my legs hoping that helps.

Could I need some form of knee support from now on?

My advice would be along with the rest you are taking,
    • Have your squat form checked by somebody in the know. (it easy for your form to slip over time)
    • Have a chat with a decent physio (qualified professional) as to what they reckon the issue might be and follow their adivce
    • Take all recommendations received from faceless peeps on the Internet as well meaning but worthless
