ive used mcsports before, they werent overly reliable imo.

Hennebrys tralee have them and are very reliable.

MCSport are brilliant. Got to be honest I'd have no complaint with them and I've bought hurdles, shot put, discus and javelin all from MC Sport over the past 3 months with no complaints. Only thing, they are a bit slow. 10 days. Which is a life time when you order online

But Bournesports in the UK are one of the best I've ever dealt with. Extremely fast. Excellent quality also

Dealing with them since 1999 and never had a problem

    Good quality also.

Got to be honest I found Hennebrys Tralee to be a disaster but that's just my personal experience.

If you want to buy local from a shop in the Munster region then I'd suggest either Gleeson's in Limerick or Maher Sports in Cork.

I better pull back on that last comment

Hennebrys, Tralee could be fine to deal with. To be honest it was possibly as much my fault as theirs.

I think at the time they had some problem getting prices from the supplier and to be fair that can happen anyone. So I'd not hold that against them. The guy I dealt with in their Brian I think was extremely nice and I don't think it was his fault at all. It was just the supplier.

I like to purchase online and when I email an online web site or store I expect a fairly quick response.

Got to admit, the UK sites are superior to the Irish sites for this. I don't like saying it but its a fact. That includes MC also.

Bourne are just at a different level.

Quality is one thing to look out for in the Shot

I got a 7.26kg shot from Mahers in Cork. It was top quality a bit more expensive. I ordered online and they delivered it to Killarney for me. Really nice to deal with. Also bought lot of free weights from them.

The MC Sport shot's are only fair and they won't take as much roughing

The one nice thing about a shop like Hennebrys or Mahers is you can walk back in if you have a problem.

    That's a big plus

    Trevor

ebay have one that can be delivered from the US for just over $90. I'd sooner give the guys in Malahide a call though.
