Anyone know how I could get rid of muscular legs. I'm doing 30 mins of resistance cycling and running lately and I feel that my legs look thicker now than ever. It may feel ridiculous but its not the look I'm after in afraid. Anyone advise me on what I can do?

My clothes fit better but my thighs are bursting out through my jeans not like before.

I'm the same and some advice would be great. Have always had large thighs but I've started a program (squats, lunges )that also has me bursting out of my jeans.

Have you considered switching to something like swimming to keep your fitness up? It would definitely lead to a bit of dystrophy in your legs over time. Keep a slight calorie deficit up and the protein intake low.

You sure it's not just in your head? Cycling and some running will not make your legs big/thick especially as your post suggests it's only a recent thing.

Those guys got like that from doing 30 mins on a stationary bike? And here was me wasting my time in a squat cage.

Have you ANY idea how hard those guys have worked to look like that? A few recreational hours a week is not the same thing.

Measure your leg circumferance. Keep training like you are. Keep your diet clean, keep an eye on your weight. Measure again in 3 months. Bet you that your legs wont be any bigger.

I replied to a similar thread a short while ago. If you are not naturally predisposed to slim legs, then barring that you lose a tonne of weight over your whole body, you are never gonna have teeny pins.

What they meant to say is:

"unless you spent hours upon hours in the gym squatting your hoop off, train at an elite olympic level, hit the track constantly and have the 0.1% genetic potential to get that way, and then make everything else you do perfect, cycling won't make your legs bigger"

    Oh boards...

And just another point on that - shouldn't their arms be bigger if they squat so much??

don't use your legs for anything, then they'll atrophy. try not walking, cycling, running, standing up etc. for a while. consider a using wheelchair or breaking your femurs.
