If the organisers were smart they'd let the joggers go first and hold back the walkers. That's the way they did it when I went to do the Pieta house run last month.
Problem is, a lot of "smart" aul ones put their names down for the jogging section, when they have no intention (or ability) to jog it. Very very annoying to get stuck behind a crowd of gossiping walkers.

Joe knows it's important to train for walking events.

Find it funnier how people get worked up about people on the radio. If you don't like it and are getting that wound up by it i'd suggest changing station or better still switching off. It's Joe Duffy what do you expect?
It's been said before, and i'll say it again, often we listen to Joe Duffy BECAUSE of this thread, because it's funny. Also a lot of interesting topics get covered.

The only bit of the story we're not getting is the bit where his wife didn't read the terms and conditions.

Jeesus you'ld swear the way this guy is talking that they introduced the hand luggage rule yesterday.

    Its all O'leary's fault

They wouldn't let her open the bag. Horse shít. I've been on plenty of Ryanair flights and people have had to leave some stuff behind in order to avoid being charged and the only way they could get stuff out was to open the bag.

He just said that his bag was open on the ground in front of him.

this shrill is probably the reason his wife is sick

He probably showed up 2 mins before gate closure and expected the airport to hold the takeoff slot for him personally. I doubt they would allow you leave a bag behind for security risks, story doesn't add up.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

Joe it's Ryanair's fault that I didn't bother reading the terms and conditions.

Something's hooky about this man's story. They read the carry-on luggage T&Cs and packed carefully, yet something was protruding from their carefully packed and weighed bag? His bag was open, her's was not allowed to be opened?
