Right ladies and gents, we're gonna keep this going as they've been going so well with great turnouts , we're organising a meet for Saturday 19th May at 12.00 at Midway in Portlaoise.

It's exit 17 off the M7. It's impossible to miss but just to hammer it home this is the place.

This is an informal gathering of like minded people that just wish to talk and look at cars and anyone acting the d1ck will be told swiftly where to go. That means no racing, burnouts, drifting - that's not what the meets have ever been like or will ever be like.

What usually happens is we arrive, have a chat, get a munch and chat some more. It's a great way to get to know other posters and to (hopefully) see some nice metal. It doesn't matter if you drive a Jaggg or a Honda , it makes no difference and everyone is welcome. As always, if people cant get there under their own steam and need lifts or anything just mention it and I'm sure something can be sorted out.

Heads up that this is the Heineken cup weekend and day, consequently the turn out may be reduced. Then again you could all be a bunch of non rugby likers and not like rugby. :D Won't make it myself :)

Edited and apologies. It wasn't meant to mean anything or cause offence.

The Midway is just off the M7 but you wouldn't have to go near it. Although without going totally cross-country you would need to use the M6 between Athlone and Kilbeggan. Otherwise it would take you about 3.5hrs each way.

Just use the R446 from Athlone through Moate. Its a much nicer drive than a boring Motorway and since the Motorway opened its quiet so won't be that much extra of a trek.

If you think 3 and a half hours is a long drive you need to sign up for ATWR. We'll make a man outta ya :P

Its nearly impossible to get lost to be honest. If ya do decide to come and you make it as far as Kilbeggan I could show you the rest of the way.

I'll put it this way, if you don't get lost between sligo and athlone you certainly won't get lost between athlone and kilbeggan.

But be careful going anywhere near moate, it's like the bermuda triangle except full of pikeys :pac:

Well following the pattern of alternate sat/suns, and the third weekend of the month, you have 6 weeks from today to organise a day off for the 17th of June.
