Transporting a boat from the UK

Am hoping to buy a liveaboard barge or narrowboat. There seems to be a greater choice and they seem to cost significantly less in the UK, but I would imagine the cost of transporting a 45-60ft barge from the UK might be prohibitive.

Might anyone have a vague idea of the cost, or know of a company which would transport boats of such a size?

    Thanks.

Hi ficheall give these a ring they can carry up to 75 tons and know what they are doing http://www.whitten.ie/boat-haulage I would guess you will be looking at around €2000 +. If you have a boat in mind you could also post it on http://www.shiply.com/ and see what offers you get you don't have to take any offer but it will give you an idea of what your looking at.
    Best of luck.
