Just wondering will this help weight loss and toning and what times should I be taking the shake for results..

Currently I will have one has a mid morn snack (11am)and another one before I go to the gym (6pm) . Gym is from 7pm - 8pm .. Then dinner.

Should I be taking the shake after a work out ?
Can too much protein result is weight gain ?

There is no such thing as a protein shake specifically for women. Protein is protein. It's pure marketing. You don't need it unless you're not getting sufficent protein in your diet really, but it's handy for after workouts. Personally if I had one right before a workout I'd spew my guts up halfway through the session.

Too much 'protein' won't result in weight gain with regards to fat; too many kcals will. There are kcals in protein shakes like in every other food, just make sure you keep them in check with your overall intake and you'll be grand.

I think its because it has soy protein that it might not be recommended for men, I think soy is supposed to increase estrogen levels or something.

On a wider level though I think he's talking about those supplements that gram for gram are identical to "men's protein" (what is that?) but is differentiated by pink labeling and a fitness model on the front. It's all the one in my book.
