    Basically yes. It's not wrong it's just less mid back and more upper back and shoulders which there are better exercises for. There are also better exercises than the T Bar row generally.

    There are also better exercises than the T Bar row generally.

    such as ?also I thought it was more of a upper back exercise because your squeezing the shoulder blades together no?

    Barbell row. Pendlay row. Dumbbell row. Chest supported row.

    They're "better" and are in a similar plane of movement. Depending on what you're looking for there may be even more suitable ones.

    Never understood the attraction of t-bar rows, apart from looking hardcore.

    I find barbell rows tricky, mainly because the urge to cheat the weight up is hard to resist. I like a nice chest supported row.

    With guys who find it hard not to cheat I use Pendlay rows.
