how can I lose muscle from my thighs?

I'm a 20 year old female, I use to be 14 stone and now I am 9 stone 7. I lost the weight over a period of 18 months and I did this mainly by jogging and obviously by dieting. I would jog very fast 30 mins for 4 or 5 days a week. Since then I have gained a lot of muscle in my legs. A lot of people say it looks nice on me but i feel like my legs are big rugby player legs and it doesn't suit me as I'm only 5ft 2. The past 2 weeks I have begun running at a slower pace and for 60 mins 4 times a week plus walking 60 minutes a day

I cycle to work for 45mins 3 times a week as I have no other choice :(

Will I lose the muscle in my thighs by running longer and slower or am I going about it the wrong way

Any advice would be great :)

Well done on the weightloss, impressive.

Running won't burn muscle off your legs. Creating a calorie deficit will, the same way you lose fat. I honestly don't know why you want to though, muscular legs FTW.

Build some upper body muscles to match leg muscles ;)

I would sugest quitting the running or walking instead as your cycling to work your legs are getting a good workout anyway
maybe try some upperbody bodyweight exercises as well. well done on the weight loss

Running slower probably won't make a bit of difference, I can't see how it would. You've got to remember the trade off here, training helps to lose weight and keep it off. If you stop that, likely you'll put back on weight.

I say listen to those who say it looks good, and keep doing the great work you've been doing. You now have the body of someone who exercises, so embrace that. A hell of a lot of people will envy you and would love that physique. We are not all built to have skinny legs (I know I'm not!). Your legs are strong and toned. Thats a good thing!

Thank you everyone that replied, I think you are right. To be honest its probably just all in my head really about them being HUGE. They are definitely muscular. Ill continue what I'm doing so.
