Hi, I am receiving loan parent allowance. But me and my baby's father have worked things out. I want to put our names down for a council house but I want to know would I have to hand back my loan parent allowance before I apply for a house??? Any info would b great!!!

It was Lone Parents Allowance, now long gone and has been replaced by One Parent Family Allowance. And yes, you will lose that allowance when you are no longer a lone parent. See www.welfare.ie.
