Boards.ie android app

I downloaded the new update of this app. However, in replying to messages the clear text button doesnt work.
Any ideas?

Nah. Just a bookmark or wrapper for the touch site from what I can see.

There was a thread in Site Dev regarding a Tapatalk plugin where they said an iOS and Android app was in development

If you're on a tablet or larger HTC phone maybe, I just find it too small and cumbersome to bother with on my phone and I have an above average sized screen.

Any time I use it on my phone, and try to go to the next page at the bottom, I always end up clicking peoples usernames in the "thanked" area of the last post and end up on their profile page instead. Annoying.
Thats on the full site though.

There is also a 'touch' version of the site. I haven't used the mobile version since this was released...

So there are three different versions depending on your needs/usage... you should be able to use one of them...

Did anyones else font get smaller? My thank doesn't work either.

Why can't you zoom in on mobile optimized websites, if that could be rectified, it would make it a lot easier to use.

the other App is Forum Runner, and it has much less functionality thn TapaTalk......

besides, Politics.ie is on Forum Runner.....and it sucks, that is FR, not P.ie

It won't be Tapatalk or FR, it will be an in-house custom app. Tapatalk is for vBulletin-based boards, and while boards.ie does use it as a base, it has been customised beyond all recognition. Tapatalk simply won't work

I wrote that wrapper app originally to have boards.ie in the app drawer. I'm too lazy for bookmarks ;-) I'll have a look into the clear text problem and font size issues tomorrow and should have an update in the market tomorrow evening, if any one has any requests please let me know. Boards.ie haven't said either way if the approve so until I hear otherwise ornyhey release their own I'll keep working on it if people are using it.

Update now in the market. It should follow, login, clear text, font size is available from the more section of the app menu too

I'll be short and sweet.

1. tapatalk will never work with boards, boards is more a standalone product now than it is vbulletin.
2. there is no android app planned, but there will be one considering the way everything is going mobile.
3. we are all firm believers in that apps should compliment a site with extra features that are mobile specific (think GPS coords on a twitter app etc.) when we sit down to do an app you can bet your life savings it won't be just the touch site wrapped in an app. it will be a beautiful experience.

oh and ze goggles :pac:.

OK thanks, I have that same error. Will look into it over the weekend and post an update
