    Hi everyone,

I really need some help and have recently been reading this forum, stickies etc.

I'm female, 5 7", 13 stone so I need to take off at least 2 stone.

Although I regularly exercised my previous diet was really bad I'm only realising: 4-5 large coffees, cheese sandwiches, baked potatoes, chickpea curry with White pitta, biscuits biscuits biscuits, choc peanuts, choc raisins, Icecream, approx 4 bottles of wine a week...

I knew the biscuits etc were making me fat but I just couldn't seem to stop myself with the sugar cravings until I read up here and made following adjustments:
max one coffee, green tea, puerh tea, eggs in morning or porridge with flax, homemade protein bar or one piece fruit for snacks, (2 per day) lunch and dinner is fish with veg / tofu with veg / sweet potato with goats cheese / Greek salad and avocado with olive oil. I've changed my cooking oil to coconut and olive oil for cold. I'm also taking scoop whey protein in morning, apple cider vinegar and flaxseed. And Ive limited my alcohol to 4 glasses per week (not ready to completely say goodbye yet).

    The problem is:
is what I'm doing correct given I walk for an hour+ five times a week, run, swim or row 3 times a week and do free weights once a week.

On the plus I don't want biscuits anymore.

But I have an incredibly swollen stomach. Would it be the flax?

Try remove the whey. Also what whey product is it?

EDIT: make sure the flax seed hasn't gone rancid

    the flax isn't rancid.

It's biochem whey protein with berries.

Hmm that's an isolate so shouldn't cause bloating. I was expecting a whey concerntration. Only thing to do is remove the flax seed and see if you improve.

Does the diet look ok for weight loss?

Have you ever suffered from IBS? The reason I ask is that if you do something like flax might make it worse and make your stomach feel bloated. I have IBS and thought (reasonably I thought) that I should eaten more fibre etc... only to be told by the doc after a colonoscopy that too much fibre can actually inflame the bowel/gut.

Just a thought, might not be relevant to you

Thanks Anamaria, no I don't have IBS but I reckon it has to be either the flax / whey / cider vinegar so I'm going to start by stopping the flax initially to see if that helps.

I look six months pregnant - bleurgh
