    TEAM NEWS

Manchester United have no fresh injury concerns ahead of the visit of Everton.

Rio Ferdinand is expected to make his 450th career league start, while Ashley Young could play his 200th Premier League game.

Everton defender Leighton Baines will miss out with a hamstring injury sustained in last weekend's FA Cup semi-final defeat by Liverpool.

Jack Rodwell remains sidelined but Steven Pienaar is available, having been cup-tied last weekend.

Should be tight for a while, then we'll win 2 - 0 (hopefully!)

Our club badge is larger and is rotating, therefore we will win 2-0.

What Everton will turn up? The fact that they're playing for nothing of significance should benefit Utd but in that case will we see an attacking, nothing to lose type performance? Or are they already on the beach as such?

Hope Everton win but see Utd sneaking this 1-0

    De Gea
    Rafael Ferdinand Evans Evra
    Valencia Carrick Scholes Nani
    Welbeck Rooney

Please and thank you, although Young will probably start.

Young took a slight knock against Villa so Fergie might go with Nani as he'd be fresher.

    I agree with this logic.

1-1, Everton early goal followed by 90 minutes of united pressure being rewarded with a goal in the 87th minute followed by another close effort in injury time but it'll come to nothing.

Be expecting three points here. Good news for us with Baines being out to be fair.

I'd expect Everton to be disheartened from last week, add to that they haven't much to play for so I'd expect a goal early on for us, then a few hairy moments before we seal the deal towards the end.
I presume rooney will start even though it is Everton.

I always had this down as our second most difficult game in the run in after the City game but for some reason I'm confident we'll get the 3 points today.

Procession time. Utd by three at least.

Comfortable victory for Utd, with Baines injury hopefully Tony V will dominate.

The only thing Everton have left to play for is to finish above Liverpool and i don't think that'll be enough to motivate some of their players!!

    Three nil Utd!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,709 ✭✭✭✭Cantona's Collars

Twelve-Nil with Gibson scoring 6 og's from 25 yards and Phil Neville to dribble past every outfield player then lob Howard for goal of the season:pac:

Back to reality,a comfortable 2-0 win will do nicely.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 12,832 ✭✭✭✭Blatter

    Just win.

An early goal would be nice, the longer he game stays 0-0 or if Everton score first we could be in for a long day.

Everton haven't won at Old Trafford since 1992, it'll be the same today. Just hope they put up a bit of a fight, after the disappointment of their FA Cup defeat there's really not much for them to play for.

I don't think I could handle waiting 80+ minutes for Hernandez to score a header again.

Hope the guys can put the game to bed early.

Only just woke up, only 59 minutes to kick of..... love it!

Looking at Man Utd's possible team sheet, it's boring isn't it? No real flair, nobody in there to put bums on seats. Utd need to sign a new hero ala Ronaldo, Cantona. Nani is about the one I really like watching.

There's enough to fill out a 77,000 stadium every week though.

I don't understand why he keeps starting welbeck, granted his link up play is slightly better than hernandez but his finishing has been very poor for quite a while now. Would much rather see Chico start!

His link up play is not ''slightly'' better, it's vastly superior, and that's why he's rightly starting.

Rooney is an incredibly good footballer. His ability on and off the ball is only behind the likes of Ronaldo and Messi.

Valencia is also a very exciting player. Chalk on the boots, traditional English-style winger,

Gibson to score a scorcher from 50 yards to win for Everton.

    €10 @ 33/1

I wouldn't go that far. When Hernandez was starting last season he did the simple things around the box well, i.e. give it to Rooney or out wide and while he would misplace the odd pass he was grand at linking up imo.

Well then you're just wrong simple as that .

Hernandez has won us plenty of games when it looked like we'd never get a winner.
That shìt is invaluable when you're not playing well.
Welbeck can be brilliant but if we're not playing well he suffers greatly.

Who to start depends on the game
I would start with Welbeck today and use Hernandez at half time if it's not going to plan.

Anyone know why Utd-Everton game is on at 12.30 and not the usual early Sunday ko time of 13.30? Police restrictions I'm guessing, but curious if its something else

Can see utd winning this by at least 2.

Everton will be down after last week and no Baines will weaken them badly.

Rooney is 4/5 to score on betfair is a steal, it's 1/2 in some bookies

Everton/utd games are always earlier kick offs.

Well maybe not always but quite a few over recent years. Policing issue I'd assume.

LOL Fergie. I actually agree with him what he said about the penalty decisions but you still cannot help but laugh.

Was at the Everton game in OT in November 2009 and Everton fans were fighting with stewards and Police.

May have something to do with earlier KO
