Tired,aches,pain after workout

    Hi All,

I'm doing a spin & tone class 3 times a week sometimes 4, the past couple of months. After each class we do stretches.

I always have a high protein dinner after each class as I was advised before that this will restore the mussels etc etc and I make sure I get a good 8 hrs sleep.

The next day I do be aching and really tired and always feeling I need to stretch to get rid of slight pain.

I'm in a office job, so 9 hrs of my day I spend sitting down so I don't get a chance to walk and stretch the mussels out...

Is there any reason for this ? or any way I can prevent this from happening or am I doing something wrong ? Or is it normal and I'm just been a moan about it :P?

    Appreciate any advice

It doesnt sound like youre doing anything wrong, some stiffness is normal after exercise, but generally it should fade away once youve been doing the class a while, unless you have a gap between classes or the intensity of the class keeps increasing.

Probably the desk job isn't helping.
At least I always find after exercise if I am stationary the next day I tend to stiffen up more. Try and get a mid morning/afternoon walk in somehow - go to coffee shop or somethin :D

Sounds normal TBH, probably need to HTFU :p ! What would you be typically eating after your work out? Carbs post workout might help with this, you wont really know unless you try it for a while! :) Stretch (like you're doing), contrast treatments (hot & cold therapy), eat more, any of these could help!!
