    Emirates Stadium

Tonight's Monday night game comes from The Emirates Stadium as Arsenal face Wigan Athletic. Finishing third for Arsenal in the league means automatic qualification for next seasons Champions League. Wigan will be no push-overs especially after their very recent win over Manchester United.

    Team news

Full-back Kieran Gibbs has a 50-50 chance of returning against Wigan as his groin injury is healing fast, according to Gunners boss Wenger.

Midfielder Gervinho (ankle) is also likely to be back, while midfielders Abou Diaby and Francis Coquelin (both hamstring) are set to return to the squad next week for full training.

Defender Per Mertesacker is continuing his rehabilitation in Germany after suffering an ankle injury against Sunderland in February. Defender Laurent Koscielny is suspended.

Striker Hugo Rodallega is Wigan's only injury concern ahead of the clash at Emirates Stadium.

Rodallega has not played for the Latics since 11th March due to a knee problem but is back in training and will be assessed before the trip to North London.

Otherwise, manager Roberto Martinez has a full squad to select from.

    Possible starting XIs:

Arsenal: Szczesny, Sagna, Vermaelen, Djourou, Santos, Arteta, Song, Walcott, Rosicky, Benayoun, Van Persie.

Wigan: Al Habsi, Alcaraz, Caldwell, Figueroa, Boyce, McCarthy, McArthur, Beausejour, Moses, Di Santo, Maloney.

Wigan have a nasty habit of beating in form teams and there was that 3-2 match 2 years ago. Fingers crossed that the game tonight will bring us an earlier ST Totteringhams day.

Can't see a Wigan win but hopefully they build upon their performances of the last few weeks and earn a result.

Are we on the telly tonight?

Trying to decide whether or not to get up early to watch...

Praying for a RVP hatrick all assisted by Arteta :)

    Crunch times ahead in FPL

    Sweet as

    I'd imagine...

    Woj
    Sagna
    Djourou
    Vermaelen
    Gibbs
    Song
    Arteta
    Walcott
    Rosicky
    ???
    RVP

Don't think Benayoun will play tonight unless Wenger realy considers Moses as that big a threat. I'd expect Gervinho to start on the left if he's back fit if not hopefully it will be Chamberlain and Arsene won't persist with this attempt at shoehorning Ramsey into the side by playing him left wing.

Cant understand his thinkin behind this at all. He doesnt have pace and doesnt really beat a man either. Strange. I see in the op that Gervinho has an ankle injury. Ive been wondering what has happened to him. Have seen much of him since the ACN.

Reckon Arsenal will get the win tonight. Wigan will be gung ho and will leave gaps :)

If Wigan conced early, Arsenal will run riot.

I think they will concede early and Arsenal will be annoyed at not putting Wolves to the sword last Wednesday.

    4-0 Arsenal (RVP 3, Wallcott 1)

We need a good start. Wigan will be really up for it and they are playing well but we know we can beat them and will do so. Good line up I think.

    3-2 Wigan

I have Wigan backed to be relegated, its just how my day is going apologies Gunners fans :)

I predicted Wigan to get something at the bridge and how unlucky they were. Predicted them to get something against man U and they did. They are a team on form and I see them scaring Arsenal tonight. 1-1 come on you Latics!

Think Arsenal will win this 2-0 and put a massive gap between themselves and 4th place

Funnily enough, that's not quite how things run at Arsenal :pac:

Anyway, the cynic in me is saying 3-2 to Wigan.

Really, really praying for a win tonight though. Could see us open a huge gap with only 4 games left

Arsenal need goals if we're going to win the league.

    23-0.

Pretty mad stat there, RVP has scored more goals than Wigan have in all competitions all season

Arsenal need goals if we're going to win the league.

    23-0.

That was only mildly amusing while it was still mathematically possible!
