Does anybody think having a thread for peoples horses from their horse tracker is a good idea. The tracker is a good way of getting winners.

When a horse in my tracker pops up, I'll post here. Tracker isn't as up to date as it used to be. Still missing winners in there

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,173 ✭✭✭hucklebuck

That might not be a bad idea but I really ****ed myself yesterday  I had five horses emailed to me on the way home with a hangover and forgot all about it, my five were:

    Seabass - 3rd in National @ 11/1 (only one I backed but got 22/1)
    Saphir River - Non Runner
On His Own - Fell in National
    Lifestyle - Won 5:05 at 22/1
    Baby Shine - 3rd in 1:45 at 12/1

Ye just some people might see something in a horse and put it in their tracker. Others might not have seen the race. Just i find the tracer fairly good for getting winners. Surely would benefit everyone if their a was a thread with people posting horses from their tracker and why they fancy it etc.

    I have 2 for today;

Parque Atlantico - Ran a good race to come 2nd to Umph @ Kempton on the A/W in it's seasonal reappearance, went to Warwick last week on turf and came 12th out of 14th. Ground didn't help at all. Upped in trip today and back on the A/W at Wolverhampton. Runs at 4.45, probably ditch this horse if it disappoints today, it's 12/1 so gonna give it an E/W chance.

So is She - Has ran well it's last 2 times out but just happened to run into better handicapped horses, I see it's being back pretty heavily today (4/1 fav now from 13/2 yesterday). Hopefully it runs a good race. 5.15 @ Wolverhampton.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,223 ✭✭✭Backstreet Moyes

Ye was looking at So is She myself 2nd last time out well clear of third going to back that.

I dont have her in my tracker cos I forgot, but am waiting for Amistress, runs in the last at Windsor. Have been following her ever since she ran a really good third in a good handicap at Salisbury last summer. Has been well punted most runs since, and has a win in her soon.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,223 ✭✭✭Backstreet Moyes

    Good start anyway got 3/1.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,886 ✭✭✭MoscowFlyer

Yeah ran well, still a bit to come I think, had to take the long way round.

Parque Atlantico ran a half decent race, thought it had nicked 3rd but wasn't to be. Oh well.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 18,335 ✭✭✭✭UrbanSea

Ran a bit better than Amistress. She was only beaten 18 lengths

Well done man, missed this myself but it's probably Hugh Taylors fault you only got 3/1.

I bought the raceform 100 horses on the flat. Won't be backing them blind of course if at all. Wanted something to get me in the mood for the flat season.

Silver Blaze is in there but prohibitive price tomorrow at Southwell for John Gosden

Did I say gosden? Got that wrong, its Alan Swinbank, I think his name is Alan anyway.....flat season was so long ago....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,886 ✭✭✭MoscowFlyer

Sound Amigo - 4.10 Southwell is the only one I have in my tracker today. Runs half decent on the fibresand so worth a punt.

    Further Proof - 7:20 Dundalk

looks a potential major handicap blot, connections pulled a simialr stroke last year with a horse called Whatever It Takes.
was gambled from 4/1 into 7/4 last time til it was withdrawn (injured in transit), and is already 5's into 4's today

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,838 ✭✭✭Nulty

    Beverley 4.30

    Sparkling Portrait

Richard Fahey is very keen to get this one out and seems pretty enthusiastic about the horse.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,404 ✭✭✭mr.jingle

Compton Target at Kempton tonight 7.05. I remember putting him in because travelled like a dream last day just didn't seem to see it out. The jockey Nicole Nordblad has a nice strike rate at Kempton 23% with 6 wins and 6 places from 26 rides.

Good stuff Nulty this thread is proving to be profitable already! 2 from 2 great picking:D

Lady Mandy @ 8.35 Kempton. It's the favourite here and last time out didn't travel all that well but ran on to get 2nd. That was over 1m 2f, this trip is over 1m 4f so Im hoping the little bit extra distance will be a help. Im not totally convinced but I'll have a few quid on it for interest.

    It won't last huck!

    Ripon 3.20

    Spinatrix

"09 OCT 2011 – Running well, more to come possibly. Soft needed"

Maybe not needed but obviously enjoys it! Dods in fair form, just hitting the bar plenty.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,838 ✭✭✭Nulty

    Ripon 3.55

    Zakreet (Raceform 100)

    Inside draw and soft ground.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,173 ✭✭✭hucklebuck

I dont believe that for a minute Nulty!!

    I have two today:

Tante Sissi - Chelt 310, placed on her only run on soft though oddly not so good on gs but better on good. 5/1 looks bet to nothing and yard are doing ok

El Diamante - Newm 520 - One run last year and looked very green and finished 4th. Good yard and jockey and 12/1 today

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,886 ✭✭✭MoscowFlyer

    4.10 Newmarket - Forgotten Hero.

I don't have anything down for this one apart from "keep an eye out" :D

    Could be a donkey!

Oh I have another in the same race. Minstrels Gallery, big outsider but gonna have a bit E/W

Shocking performance. Not right. Couldn't get to the front and sulked.

6.20 Caheronoun. Just the comments from the tracker.

Followed-up her course victory over 2m 4f in January with another sterling effort over three miles, chasing home Willie Mullins' decent hand
Won 2½m handicap at Fairyhouse in January and better form when placed all 3 starts since, third to Archie Meade in a competitive affair at Fairyhouse last time. Has to be respected.

Tracker gave it a 5 star chance worth a punt at 9/2.

    Ayr 3.25

    Any Currency

Been tracking this one all season. 4m will see him close to his best. An extra few furlongs wouldn't be a problem either...

I got emails today for declarations at Doncaster on Friday.

    Epsom 2.50

    Aiken

Raceform 100 to follow. By Selkirk out of Sadlers' Wells mare - should handle the ground. In fact won on soft already. Fav @ 5/2 - make your choice etc.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,886 ✭✭✭MoscowFlyer

I actually have 3 (that I know about) for today after scanning my tracker, pissed I didn't get an email!

    Mon Ami Jolie 8.55 Kempton
    Selection Box 4.05 Perth
    Resurge 3.55 Epsom

    nice one Nulty re Aiken

I put Los Amigos in my tracker after its debut second to Mount Colah on Stephen's day. Was then second again behind Fickle Fortune, who Meade highly regards and has been very well backed for the champion bumper today. If Fickle Fortune goes well then Los Amigos could be worth a bet at big odds (18/1 with Stan James), ground and step up in trip should suit.
Negative is Dreaper's woeful record in bumpers(first run for him, had been with barry potts) but the yard have been going well over the last few months so worth a small bet imo anyway.

    Doncaster 3.55 Friday

    Sohcahtoa

Really well handicapped horse whose best recent efforts came over 2m on Good ground. I'd be very interested to see him go on soft ground. Now with David Barron and having been second in the Spring Mile to Irish Heartbeat in 2010 on soft ground. He hasn't won much and obviouly has had problems but his mark is excellent going into this season and the trainer change is significant.

10 OCT 2011 – Well handicapped horse, may have problems but worth a look. Tried longer distances lately and might be coming back to form

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,266 ✭✭✭Juwwi

It could be worth putting all the horses from this race into a tracker bar the last one home.
The race was only 3 weeks ago but is throwing out lots of winners already.

    Punchestown 715

Village Vic - "Won very easily on heavy ground, turning over odds on fav" - first run in Chepstow was awesome, just beaten in second run in quicker ground. I can forgive anything after first race as the yard was under a cloud and are now back in form.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,838 ✭✭✭Nulty

Modest pace on heavy ground when held up out the back - Sohcahtoa will pop up here again when he's entered in his next race.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,838 ✭✭✭Nulty

    Brick Red

Been following him since back end of 2010. Sold out of Andrew Baldings yard, now with Venetia Williams having his second start over hurdles at Ludlow on Sunday. Ran well enough on debut to Sonoran Sands who won next time by 17l. Sonoran runs at Sandown tomorrow in the handicap juvenile hurdle so that could be another pointer.

There should be an app for this.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,838 ✭✭✭Nulty

I didn't back Brick Red today. He jumped and traveled really well but got tired again on the run in and outstayed by the front running winner. Waiting to see him turn up on good to soft or the softer side of good in a handicap.

Two horses from this race ran in the 1st race at Kempton a conditions race and finished 1st and 2nd.

The winner of the original maiden Baileys Jubilee must be a good horse.

Was away most of today so couldn't access my emails or get a bet on anyway but I just checked and one of my horses than ran today won @ 10/1

    Wisemans Diamond 3.30 @ Pontifract

    I feel sick.

    2 for tomorrow
