Well first things first, read the stickies, then post a typical days food consumption and what exercise you do.

We are all different, and for some people that kind of weight loss might be too much too soon. There's nothing wrong with having a goal, but maybe give yourself 4-6 weeks of eating correctly and exercising regularly. Then look at what you have achieved and set yourself a new goal based on how your body is reacting to the change in lifestyle.

When you begin to lose weight you'll be excited about losing more, but be patient. I'm starting a weight-lifting routine now, and my immediate impulse is to jump into it hell-for-leather. But instead I'm going listen to people on this forum, and I'm also looking back on what worked for me when I first began to lose weight. Gradually build up a routine and you will stick to it, long-term. Slow and steady wins the race.

I'm not qualified enough to give you advice on training and nutrition. There are other people on here that will help you with that. The only piece of advice I have is that you cut out all crap food! However much you know or don't know about nutrition, you'll still have a fair idea of what type of stuff is bad for you. I was 18.5 stone at one stage, and it wasn't because I didn't know what food was good for me, it was because I didn't care what food was bad for me. Start to care about yourself and what you are putting into your body. Everything else will fall into place.

    Good luck!

0.2kg/day weight loss is very achievable.
    Weight yourself every morning.
Omit sat fats and man made sugars from your diet.
Eat fruit/vegs/lean protein (chicken fillet, pork fillet, steamed low sat fat mince ~140 cal/100g).
    Drink water. Sleep 8 hrs.
Execise 30min per day (climbing stairs or the like).

    I'd say its probably achievable.

I lost 2 stone in two months. Here's what I did.

Cleaned up diet. Gave up fizzy drinks (probably the best decision since I quit smoking) and drink plenty of water. 1ltr a day is what I was drinking. I had a protein and oat shake with a banana for breakfast. Fresh chicken and veg for lunch and dinner. Sometimes steak (I kept it very simple but check the stickies for a more varied diet). I cut out all unnessessary crap during the week but was tempted by a takeaway at the weekend, keep dicipline 7 days a week and you'll make better progress. Log all your food on myfitnesspal.com to keep track of calorie intake.

I started by walking for an hour in the morning 5 days a week with intermittent jogs (could only do a minute or so at a time) and increasing it as much as I could each week. You could also check out couch to 5k which outlines the intervals and how much to increase them.

I started a weights program. I started with a 5 day split I gleaned from the internet but have since learned something more compound based would be the best bet for beginners and I went a bit ahead of myself. Squats, deadlift, bench. Just have a look round for compound exercises.

If your good with the diet and stick with the exercise you should make good progress. Dont rush anything though, with running try to get some good runners and take your time starting. With the weights start low and ease into it. The last thing you want to do is injure yourself. I went a bit overboard and hurt my leg while running and mangled my arms on my first day in the gym. Put me out of action for over a week.

I'm sure others will be able give ya better advice but thats what I did and I'm quite please with myself too. Put in the effort and you'll be a new man in a few months. Good luck.
