What's the nutrional info for grilled chicken breast (skinless)? About 135grams.

It's a Tesco Value one. I tried different websites but they have different answers, plus they're all in American measurements.

It's usually about 30% protein, 2-5% fat (depending on the chicken I suppose) and the rest is water and micro nutrients.

So the calories from that are going to be 30% of 135 grams = 40 grams of protein. Protein is 4 calories per gram, so 160 calories from that.

Then lets say it's 3% fat, so 3% of 135 grams = 4 grams of fat. Fat is 9 calories per gram, so 36 calories from that.

    That's it really.

    40 grams protein: 160 calories
    4 grams fat: 36 calories.

About 200 calories in a chicken breast.

That's from what I know anyway, I'm open to correction.

It's a bit of a long winded way of doing it. Much easier to just use a calories per 100 figure.
Which is about 120-130 calories, which is 162-175 calories for 135g.

120-130 calories/100g equates to about 25g protein and 2.5-3g fat - breast meat is towards the lower end of fat. And chicken won't be much higher than 25g protein.

Also, Kaji, these numbers refer to the raw weight.

Tesco usually have this info on their packs, maybe not the "market value" ones but some other brand will have it there.

Their "healthy living" range usually has info on it, they might leave the info off the cheaper ones to disguise the fact they are the exact same nutritional content and they are just charging 100% more for having "healthy" written on it.

I am not a fan of online sites for stuff like this. e.g. in Australia chicken fillets are far bigger, so if using online sites at least try to go for per 100g rather than "per portion/serving"
