back on the bike since last august , i seem typical of a lot of people on here , fit and active till your early 30's ( it was with me ), what stared out with a 2 1/2 mile cycle and in a state of near collapse in august 2011 to regular 20 milers EVERY DAY now , i've dropped 3 stone as a result but i'm still 17 stone , a few of us have signed up for the 90k leinster loop (the start point is only 5miles from where i live ) , i done basically the front half of it yesterday(22miles) and felt so good after it , it was a real buzz , the hills are still a bit of a killer (granny ring , i'm not a hero) ...my question is , what sort of training should i be doing from now till august to be able to pootle along at a decent pace , i average about 14 mph when doing 20miles...:)
