Just wondering if anyone else has ever run into this? I've seen plenty of photo shoots that used the Botanic Gardens as a location online. I can't imagine that everyone paid the €95 I was just quoted by the OPW to hold a non commercial photo shoot there.

Have public parks just now caught up with the whole 'Rip Off Ireland' thing?

That's a pretty straight forward charge. I'm sure everyone who wanted to do a shoot and have it above board had to pay. I've worked on a number of shoots in St. Annes and they always had to be paid. But then they were commercial shoots and we had a number of vehicles in the park so no other way around it. I know one dude who did a shoot in the botanics for his clothing label but just did it without permission.
