I was once 11stone 3/4 and I'm 6 foot 2. I put on alot of weight a few years ago and ended up being 15 1/2 stone of fat before doing something about it. I hit the gym hard and reduced my weight back down to 12 1/2 stone but over the last few months I've upped my training and I've got myself down to 12.1 stone. This training involves 45 mins jog, 25 min cycling and rowing. Boxing, skipping and weights and it varies 3-4 times a week. Thing is I would like to be 11 stone 3/4 again but can't get myself down to it. I watched everything I eat for ages and went all healthy with loads of veg fruit and fibre in my diet but to no avail. 12.1 stone is the best I could do. Should I run more gradually or increase my running pace over shorther periods? I don't think the weights are helping me at all, my arms are getting more bulkier now and I don't want that. I tried running at 15km/h on threadmill and kept going until I burn off 100cals. Repeated this process 5 times, and was ****ed after it. I had 100cals burned off in less than 6mins each time I repeated process but I get very tired when I do this for some reason. Took a break from the gym this week to see is there anything else I can try.

Why do you want to be 11 3/4 exactly at 6'2? IMO That's extremely light, (considering Im 5'6 & 11 stone) !!

When you say you watched everything you ate for a while did you actually log your calories?? If you hit a plateau at 12.1 stone it means you were eating maintenance calories for that weight & would need to reduce your calories again! If you're eating too much veg, fruit & fibre in terms of calories you wont lose the weight! It's your diet that will get you there not increasing running.

If you've noticed an increase in muscle mass in your arms you're probably carrying more muscle then you use to! How is this not "helping" you?? You're increasing muscle mass which increases your BMR/calories burned at rest to maintain function! This is a good thing! If it's just your arms you're noticing that are bigger what exactly are you doing weights wise? If you're just doing curls then that'll be your problem! Are you hitting squats, deadlifts, rows, bench or over head presses at all? If you're not then you're missing out on some of the most effective basic lifts!

Overall though you're doing really good! Keep it up :)
