Working out macro nutrient requirements?

    Hi guys,

    I am trying to get into better shape as I broke my fibula in February. I was carrying a few pounds before hand but I was fit (play rugby, jog, lift weights). Since the break I have gained fat and lost muscle.

    So today I was reading up on protein requirements and what I am now uncertain about is - are my requirements based on my current weight or the weight I want to achieve/get back to?

    For example should my protein requirement be 0.8*75g = 60g(fat weight) or 0.8*68kg = 54g(happy weight) per day
