With the form Liverpool are in I reckon Blackburn are a cracking bet for the win at 5/2.

Blackburn have lost their last 3 games and got beaten 3-0 by a team that had lost 3 and drawn 1 of their previous 4.

    1-2 Liverpool

    if Bellamy plays

Maybe today will be the turning point with a decent win for Liverpool...and if not today, then the next match or next year ;)

Seriously, something has to happen, otherwise Liverpool will be grounded forever somewhere in the middle of the table :(

Well overdue one so don't you think?
considering injuries and the fact he is their penalty taker I fancy a tenner on him.
Liverpool will be focusing on the weekend so a great shout for Blackburn in this game.

Carroll should play in the remaining league games this season. Just to see if theres any bit of decent football in him at all.

I wonder which team is happier to be playing the other one.

    I'd say Blackburn ;)

Liverpool only 1 away victory in the last 7 Prem Lge games, with Blackburn only losing 2 of there last 7 at home. Worth a punt at 5/2.

No they are not worth a punt. Neither team is worth betting on, they are both going through a bad patch at the moment. Its stupid to have any financial interest in a game where its impossible to predict an outcome.

I'm a Rovers fans and I'm hoping we can get at least a point out of this game but I actually fancy Liverpool because we are making too many mistakes in defense. Blackburn have a chance because we can counter very fast and Liverpool don't have any good tacklers in midfield to stop that. Our performance in this one hinges a lot on which Junior Hoilett turns up, if the one that works hard and thinks about what he is doing turns up then we have a real good chance but if the one that doesn't work hard and runs blindly at the opposition turns up then our chances are not very good. Also Steve Kean has dropped Mauro Formica who was ever present on our mini good run.

if ever there was a nailed on result this it, relegation battler facing a team on a horrible run that only seems to raise their game for big teams and with a derby cup semi this weekend. Pool to win :p

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,627 ✭✭✭Lawrence1895

That match against Everton certainly gets more importance than tonight's match. I heard on the radio already, that a 'few key players' will be rested tonight

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,146 ✭✭✭StephenHendry

its a big game for both, kenny is under a bit of pressure especially with the everton game on the weekend. id say it will be a draw tonight.

What a crucial game for Rovers. A win will go a long way to keeping them up. I fancy them 1-0

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,781 ✭✭✭clappyhappy

Liverpool really need to turn things around, I know its stating the obvious but we cannot lose any more matches this season. Lets get the momentum going with a win tonight, confidence shattered a little I think, bring on Everton then this weekend and end the season with some bit of a high. Very disappointing past two months.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

The LFC team for tonight could be shocking or it might be business as usual. Hopefully it'll strike a balance but its impossible to know how much Dalglish might want to protect players for Saturday Cup game. Its the only game that actually matters now, loosing to Blackburn would be just another small embarrassment.

I'm off to Wet and Wild, small bets on Blackburn and Yak first goalscorer.

This game to be declared a nil all bore beforehand to save us all the heartache of watching, and sky to broadcast Kammy's best clips instead.

Raheem Sterling was not involved with the reserves today, so I expect him to feature tonight.

Sterling on the bench or a surprise start maybe.

Blackburn were quite good at home v Utd and are very nicely priced at 5/2 for the win. Pool are brutal at the moment. Score draw I reckon.
No injuries please as we approach one of a possible two big matches left this season.

Fully expect a big Liverpool win. I feel there are certain players at Anfield that will put in a shift because FA Cup semi-final places are up for grabs when they couldn't be arsed otherwise.

Threw some money on Yak FG, and a blackburn win. Come on!

    Money Back Special on PP's
If Blackburn win this match, Paddy Power will refund all losing First Goalscorer, Last Goalscorer, Correct Score & Scorecast singles on the match.

    Not bad at all.

I doubt it's anything personal, it's just Blackburn are usually a pain in the arse when they play United. They've taken a **** load of points from us in comparison to say Wigan.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,836 ✭✭✭Sir Gallagher

Blackburn are just like Bolton, they're just kind of there hanging around stinking up the place with depressing football and players who nobody cares about. They just make me slightly sad... and for that reason i want them out.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

Liverpool: Doni, Flanagan, Carragher, Skrtel, Enrique, Henderson, Shelvey, Gerrard, Sterling, Suarez, Kuyt. Subs: Jones, Bellamy, Carroll, Maxi, Spearing, Agger, Coates.

edit bah its not true! :(

    Sterling starts :D

    or maybe not :(

We've had 4 top 10s in the last six seasons. We won the league cup in 2002. Thats hardly just hanging around as you put it.

Not only that but we have the cheapest season tickets in the Premier League and give very reasonable prices to away fans.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,624 ✭✭✭double GG

Na, I want Blackburn to stay up, for some reason I have taken a liking to Steve Kean, the man has shown his credentials by not stepping down and all after the fans got on his back, put the noose around his neck and put his head on the chopping block. He was thrown into the deep end at Ewood Park after Big Sam was thrown out on his ear and has sank, but is beginning to swim, you can see the players like him as they really are playing like they want him to stay.

Wolves are gone and I hope QPR and Bolton go too.

I can see Blackburn doing well tonight. Hoilett will cause plenty of problems and same with Yakubu. I am sure Liverpool will score but can see Blackburn scoring also so I can't see past a 2-2 draw.

The majority of your seasons have been finished in the lower half and you won the League Cup 10 years ago.

That seems like the definition of just hanging around.

11 top 10s and 7 outside the top 10 in 18 seasons of Premier League football is hardly the majority in the lower half.

I don't see the point in making such a statement. Blackburn won the Premier League. Liverpool, Fulham, Tottenham, Everton etc... haven't won it.

Based on your beliefs, a team finishing in 11th every season are just hanging around.
