Okay about a week ago I noticed a big lump above my knee after doing 170lb leg extension supersetted with 60kg front squat.....now im unsure if its fluid or a torn muscle etc but its there and ill be seeing the doctor tomorrow regarding it..anyway in the meantime i want to do my cardio as per usual and im just wondering is hillwalking on the treadmill a suitable cardio workout??? it doesnt hurt my leg or put any strain!...with regards to HR my rhr is under 60.. about 55 i think....... i get to about 130 max hillwalking but thats after 30 mins or so...i just want to know id its suitable for weight control for the meantime until this problem is fixed....:D by the way im not heavy or looking to lose weight.

Don't be a dumbass. If you're rigid about working out then think about it this way, one of two things can happen

    1) get this one workout in which will have a negligible effect on your overall goal and even short term goals
    2) do more damage leading to a longer injury period which will have a noticeable effect on what you want to do both long term and short term

If you can't take the time out to recover then you will simply have a recurring injury which will significantly hinder any progess you make. Rome wasn't built in a day, use your head and take the day off. See what the doctor says and take it from there.

I dont think your getting what im actually asking???...my question is asking if hillwalking would be a suitable substitute for jogging etc until this issue is fixed...not just today or tomorrow...and i mean it from a fitness point of view..not whether i should or shouldnt do it..im thinkin 3-4 weeks down the line?

must have misread the OP, sozzles. I still wouldn't. See what the doctor says anyway. If it was me I'd do non-impact like cycling or swimming
