    Team news

United are without Anderson and Anders Lindegaard who join long-term absentees Nemanja Vidic and Darren Fletcher on the sidelines.

However, there is better news for Nani who is fit again after suffering an ankle injury in the 3-2 defeat to Athletic Bilbao last month.

Michael Owen is also edging his way back into contention but is unlikely to be called upon this weekend.

QPR are without striker Djibril Cisse as he serves the second match of a four-game ban for picking up a second red card of the season against Sunderland.

Hughes is able to call upon returning strike duo Heidar Helguson and DJ Campbell who will be aiming to fill the void left by Cisse.

Top scorer Helguson has been unavailable for more than two months with a groin strain while Campbell has missed a similar amount of football due to a hamstring problem.

    Predicted Utd XI
    De Gea
    Rafael Rio Evans Evra
    Valencia Carrick Scholes Young
    Welbeck Rooney

Why does Cleverly never start anymore? Is he still injured?

    Sure he may start yet.

(but to be perfectly frank, since he has come back from his latest injury he hasnt done anything to warrant getting in the team ahead of anyone tbh)

If Helguson plays that will be a real danger to us on set pieces, deffo need Smalling to play I feel to have somebody who can challenge him in the aerial department.

Hoping to see a strong team from the Fergiemeister, can worry about Wednesday after the 3 points are on the board today, its 3 and half days away anyway, not like the lads wouldnt be used to doing that sort of thing.

Looking at the run in on paper this is one of those games I fully expect United to win and win well (barring a Fulham type display of course). If United are not ahead by 8 points and a slightly better goal difference by the time City take to the field against Arsenal I would deem the result a surprise.

I am not showing QPR disrespect at all, its just on a title run in, at OT against QPR I fully expect a United win.

I am expecting a United win today, and if everything goes to plan Arsenal will beat City and we will be 8 points clear at the top :D

Surprised not to see Nani on the bench at least. The talk was that he is back. Happy with strong team though.

#ManUtd Starting XI: De Gea, Evra, Ferdinand, Evans, Rafael, Carrick, Scholes, Young, Valencia, Rooney, Welbeck.#MUFC

Man United substitutes vs QPR: Amos, Jones, Giggs, Park, Hernandez, Cleverley, Pogba

QPR XI: Kenny, Onuoha, Ferdinand, Hill, Taiwo, Mackie, Diakite, Buzsaky, Derry, Taarabt, Bothtroyd

My wallet says United by at least two and Valencia to score any time.

    Stroll in the park.

Good to see a strong United team, can't see any other than a win with that line up.

For the first time it really fees like it's getting towards the end of the season.

Should be an easy win for Utd. Doesn't mean it will be but any Utd fan claiming otherwise is just plain lying. :pac:

A talking wallet, I could do with one of these.

    United 4-1.

    13-1 with PP. Easy Money.

Very happy with that team, pretty much what I predicted except Ferdinand is not getting a break, Smalling may not be 100% or perhaps Fergie is trying to keep continuity in the back 4.

As always Ill take a scrappy 1-0 win with an OG off Tarabts ass

No,he means stream, this omelette thing is getting out of hand.
We're not allowed post links to streams, doesn't say anything else
    1) we will no longer be allowing links to streams of copyrighted or licenced content such as sports events. Youtube videos are not affected as YouTube has revenue sharing arrangements in place with copyright holders and they monitor these things themselves.

Listening to Hughes on SS now. He left Barton out as he doesn't want him to get booked.

Obviously the game plan is to kick lumps out of us.

Early goal and no injuries please.

Happy enough with that team. The crowd should make more noise than they have been lately and we should coast it.

Yesterday ESPN 2 showed the Sunderland Spurs game, today they are showing bloody competitive fishing! Who on earth watches that.

I think it shows that he doesn't expect anything from this game, leaving out Zamora as well.

Even if he didn't send his side out to be physical with us, Barton would probably get booked anyway so I can see where he's coming from.

Anything less than 3 points will be a massive slip today. Delighted with that team and the subs bench. Utd have a lot of different options to go with just in case things go poorly.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,024 ✭✭✭Owryan

My brothers a Leeds fan and he just reminded of the time when Utd played QPR in a title 6 pointer and were thrashed 1-4 .

But its ok now , my frying pan has mysteriously attacked him

Why is Scholes being booed by the QPR fans?
