    Hi,

    I'm wondering does anyone else here suffer from psoriasis. I've had it for 4-5 years now and would love to try and clear it up. I have it on my torso mostly and some on my upper arms.

    I've tried prescription lotion for it, but i find once i have it used up it comes back again. Does anyone have any helpful tips or practical remedies that could help it clear up?

    Think this might be in wrong forum. My husband has it and it improved after he had food intolerance test done. Might be something to consider.

    Google Abbey Oils. Based in Sligo. I know a few people that used it and said it worked wonders.

    UVB rays - if you can get access to or get your hands on a UVB lamp that will most def help

    plenty OF vitamin D3 too.

    Heard lots of anecdotal evidence on sunbeds too

    def agree with this.

    but easy options are Aqueous cream more than twice a day.

    cortopin 1% cream. (they say you shouldnt use this more than a week) but ive been using it for years and it really help stave away the dry'ness.

    Vaseline works wonders. it;ll keep your skim moist for many hours. cover yourself in the stuff.

    I've been using Aalgo seaweed powder for eczema and find it brilliant. I know others who have used it for psoriasis and found it great too. I get it online from econat**al.ie. They used to send out a sample by post to try before buying. Not sure if they still do. I hope this helps.

    I had terrible psoriasis all over my body a year ago and went to a dermatologist who got me to take a bath in Oilatum Plus everyday and soak in it for 20 minutes as well as some creams.

    The Oilatum in the bath seemed to do a huge amount of work and cleared it all up in a few weeks and besides the tiniest bits appearing every now and again it has completely disappeared, and when I do notice a small spot that looks like the psoriasis I simply take a bath in the Oilatum and it clears up again.

    When I first went to the dermatologist and was told what to do, she said I would need to come back again after a few weeks of the baths and creams helped to clear the psoriasis to get Light treatment 3 times a week for several more weeks, but it cleared up so weel I ended up not needing this.

    As far as I'm aware though psoriasis can never be completely treated and it's always present in your body once you get it.
