Stephen Kenny will make Rovers a worse team than it was under MON.

    You heard it here first.

Wish I'd taped it, it could be a while before there's another one like this

Rovers lost 5-1 in Dundalk in 2010 and..

Lost 5-0 to Pats in 2007, it's not that long ago..

Full Time: St. Patrick's Athletic 5 Shamrock Rovers 1

Wish I'd taped it, it could be a while before there's another one like this

It'll be on the RTE player. I'm just wondering what's gonna be greater, the amount of goals we scored tonight or the amount of times i'm gonna watch it on the RTE player. I'm guessing the latter!!!

Bohs break their duck and a great result for Pats, very enjoyable evening.

That keeper for Rovers, Jansson (?), is seriously dodgy.

It's weird, I should be angry about the decisions, the score line, the changes, etc but that isn't really what annoys me most.

I haven't seen a more disheartened display by Rovers in the last 10 years. With the exception of Ricer, Gannon and Twigg they just didnt seem to care. Sives and Oman were 3 seconds slower than the rest of the team, who were 3 seconds behind Pats. Brennan while out of position, just doesn't care.

I can excuse bad performances, but their just wasnt effort out there tonight, sometimes we didnt even bother to contest the ball in the air.

Kenny's first test was at half time, he failed. Next big test is picking up the pieces. The likes of Greene, Brennan and Janson can kiss their places goodbye.

Terrible from Rovers, good performance and well deserved from St Patricks. Onwards and upwards (I hope).

What did Bucko feed that squad this past week? That is not the team that lined out in Tolka a week ago.

RTE's beloved well and truly hammered on prime time TV by the junkies.

It would have been lovely had Shels gotten a goal against Dundalk, but you can't have it all.

Pats played some great stuff and scored a few beauties too. Credit to Buckley.

Another loss for us. Bottom of the league. By all accounts we never troubled Bohs at all.

Something's not working. Monaghan next. Must win.

Pats deserved that. They were impressive. Forrester goal shouldn't have been allowed but it would be churlish to not admire a goal like that when we are trying to get neutrals in to the league. Very worrying that they are the first serious opposition we have faced so far. Thankfully we had the points so far and it remains to be seen if this a blip or something serious.

What decisions?? Genuinely just curious, don't remember anything controversial!

A lot of Pat's fans felt we were due to give someone a hiding, that it was coming. Now, in no way did we think it would be tonight. I think we've played some good stuff this season, we've just been lacking in the final third.

Hopefully, for us, we'll kick on from here!!

Apparently Forrester only started playing competitive football at U17s, according to Dan Mcdonnell.

That bloke is going to England soon!! He's the next McClean. Some player!!!!

Jansson in goals for Rovers has been very poor since coming in, his decision making is shocking. Great game to watch tonight, fast football and some brilliant goals.

    Top :P
    Made hard work of Bray.

    Never saw that coming tonight.
    Such a hammering.

I'd say so. To put my neutral hat on, I hope Pats don't just flog him off as soon as a club comes in for him. He's a great assett to the league. His two goals will be floating around the internet for a few weeks. He was quality last week against Shels.

We don't have an option! Every player is on a one season contract!!! But it makes me laugh all these experts going on about McClean!!! We've known about him for a couple of seasons.

Let's name the players now!!! Steven McLaughlin, Ronan Finn, Chris Forrester. Hold on to your hats, people!! Players are coming through!!!

A great goal created by two ex-Gypos.

One playing for Pats and one playing for us.
