Any of you heard of, or tried, this program?

Very popular in the US apparently and it's gaining in popularity this side of the water with a number of top boxers especially and other sports-people starting to endorse the product.

Basically it's supposed to reset your body to keep your gylcemic index low and stop your cravings.

The three phases you go through with the program are outlined below (you probably won't be able to see the picture until the Boards April Fools day gold account joke ends):

    Thoughts?

At the end of the day, it's still a shake. It's unsustainable in the long term. Likely hood of original problems re-occurring is high.

Insulin sensitivity can be reset naturally through proper diet and supplementation.

Just because someone endorsed a product unfortunately doesn't mean it's good. A lot of people out there in a lot of things for the money.

I personally have fallen into the quick fat loss trap etc previously, but I've always had a problem with these kinda shakes

Very true mate, all good points.

I was speaking to an someone who has used it and he swears by the program though, says it left him feeling much more energetic, and he lost a lot of weight he needed to shed without even training.

I'd imagine it would be completely unsustainable on just the meal replacement long-term, but given that by the time the 3rd ''phase'' of it comes around you are down to one shake and two meals it doesn't seem too unsustainable.

I guess it could just as easily be done by switching to 3 low GI meals a day and eating plenty of fruits and vegetables, without the need to go through the reset, transform and maintain phases?
